Instead of "go big or go home," GMC focused on "light makes right" with the second-generation Acadia. Built to comply with more stringent fuel economy standards while matching key rivals' dimensions, the three-row Acadia is 7-inches shorter, 4-inches narrower, and 500-pounds lighter. The result is a competitive, practical, and pleasant family hauler.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Driving Experience

Includes acceleration and handling

What Owners Say

"On our last full round trip from Thousand Oaks CA to Los Olivos CA "wine country" (up and over Hwy 154), we kept freeway speeds between 60 to 65 (40 to 50 with traffic going up two-lane Hwy 154) in an effort to test maximum mileage (w/two on board). This returned a phenomenal 29.1 MPG (driveway to driveway). Also very surprising, the 3.6L VVT DI engine provides absolutely outstanding acceleration whenever required (sets you back in your seat). Of course, with any length of WOT throttle position, mileage will indeed begin to drop, but if the throttle is handled moderately, it is very easy to see 26 MPG on any long trip (even higher if speed is reduced as in our recent max mileage test). You can have power and speed, but not both. Regardless, excellent emergency acceleration is available whenever required (this thing really scoots!)"

"Quick, quiet and well built BUT NO support on the driver seat- no way to increase lumbar support on my model. VERY uncomfortable front seat."

John S., IL (2018 GMC Acadia)

"Seats are comfortable on long trips, there is very little wind noise. A lityle bit more engine noise than I would like."

Anonymous, SK (2018 GMC Acadia)

"As it turns out, the Denali Acadia comfort controlled seats are not just heated and ventilated, but rather heated and A/C'd with cold air from the vehicles A/C system (front seats have their own A/C ducts). This fully adjustable (3 levels) of Air Conditioned seats easily equals or bests anything that MB offers, and certainly is less electronically tro0ublesome."

Value

Did you get what you wanted relative to the price you paid?

What Owners Say

"A large, comfortable, good performing SUV that was purchased very well equipped for less than I couldl purchase a comparable vehicle."

Anonymous, MI (2018 GMC Acadia)

"GMC only offers the adaptive curise on the top of the line vehicles at a premium price it's inflated. Trade in was not that good, Sell your trade yourself for the best deal. Incentives and GM card offer knocked $10,250. off the price."

Jeff F., IA (2018 GMC Acadia)

"there are not enough cup holders in this vehicle and it was definitely an issue with us for the price we paid for this car, MSRP 52K, that the lighting on the outside mirrors have been removed. They are still on the lesser priced SLT model but taken off the Denali. What the heck???"

Anonymous, NY (2018 GMC Acadia)

"Paid under what I expected to pay"

Anonymous, PA (2018 GMC Acadia)

"Due to the downsizing of the seating, not satisfactory for the price, especially as this model is a Denali. Weld at tailpipe/muffler was rusting right off the lot and all other Denali's showed the same rusting problem. GM not willing to deal with this issue and it has been a longstanding problem with their exhaust system as it is not made of stainless like the Ford Explorer."

Barry W., VA (2018 GMC Acadia)

"GM offered major discounts off original price."

Anonymous, OH (2018 GMC Acadia)
