Anonymous, TX (2015 GMC Canyon SLT 3.6-L V6)
Display screen goes blank

"Sometimes when I start up the display screens are blank. If they display on starting, they may go blank while driving. they may come back on, but on occasion they haven't."

Anonymous, SD (2015 GMC Canyon SLE 3.6-L V6)

Transmission Minor

Gear selector or linkage, leaks, transmission computer, transmission sensor or solenoid, clutch adjustment, rough shifting, slipping transmission.

What Owners Say

Rough shifting

"GMC stated that they could not duplicate the problem. But slowing down when making a turn and accelerating it's like it is stuck in lower gear."

Anonymous, NJ (2015 GMC Canyon SLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl)

"The transmission does not shift properly. In stop and go traffic the transmission shifts a lot which causes a lot of herky-jerky movements of the truck. When going up a slight incline in slow moving or stop and go traffic the truck will hesitate, stutter, or gear hunt. The transmission shifts make this truck feel very uncomfortable and unpredictable to drive. Selecting the tow/haul mode seems to help a little, but when you are coming to a complete stop it shifts hard and you have to apply more brake force than usual to stop the truck. Often times in tow/haul mode when you come to a complete stop it feels as if you are being pushed in the rear by another vehicle."

Eugene A., MD (2015 GMC Canyon Base 3.6-L V6)

"Does fine starting from complete stop. When slowing down because of turning or slowing cars the truck does not gear down properly. It does not gain speed very well and seems to have a slight vibration. Once it decides to shift to a lower speed it"

Steve S., TN (2015 GMC Canyon SLT 3.6-L V6)

"problem with slowing down and then trying to speed up"

Anonymous, NJ (2015 GMC Canyon SLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl)
