Road Test

The GMC Envoy has a good basic design with roomy, quiet accommodations and a compliant ride. But handling is less than agile overall and sloppy at the limit. Braking isn't very good, either. We also found the front-seat-mounted safety belts uncomfortable. Stability control was made standard for 2006, which improves handling considerably in emergency situations.
