My vehicle is a rear wheel drive only, but in order to get the lock up rear end, I needed to order the Z71 package. I like the cool decal, but the ride is somewhat harsh with it's short wheel base. I past the age of 70 and still love the truck."

"IMPORTANT READ THIS: (Am I the only one?) GMC Sierra 1500 Truck was meticulously maintained, and NEVER abused. With only 36000 miles on it the wheel bearings went bad on driver's side, stranding me very far from home necessitating expensive tow. Dealership and GMC both basically said "hey, it's out of warranty". Neither did anything to help with this cost on something that shouldn't have gone bad so soon. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GMC or CHEVY VEHICLE AGAIN. I AM LOOKING TO BUY HYUNDAI, OR SUBARU, OR PERHAPS TOYOTA. GMC left me with a large expensive repair on something that shouldn't have gone bad so soon. They didn't care, and didn't answer my letter I wrote them. DID NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT! When you spend 28,000 on a vehicle and take very good care of it, some things should just last. I replaced the bearings with GENUINE GMC parts and was told they were warrantied for 90-days!!! I had the other side replaced to prevent this from happening again using a MOOG part. Cost of part $75.00 more. LIFETIME warranty. Tells you a lot about what GMC considers "professional grade"! What a load of crap. VERY DISSATISFIED. Also--though I have learned to live with this--one of the tires ALWAYS leaks air. Had truck in to have this checked and new valve stem put on and tire remounted. Still leaks. Leaked since about a year after I bought the truck. Could all this be junk steel? I will never buy American just to buy American again. I will check with CR and any other sources before making my choice. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE."

"Entry to cabin is very good. Seats are of good quality and the leather is still in good shape. The seats are very comfortable for long trips and short city driving. Road and outside air noise are tolerable but very noticeable."

"Cools and heats almost instantly. Comfotable ride...seats are very comfortable on long rides. Cab has plenty of head and leg room....we are both tall. Not noisy in the cab. Used it for long trips and was a good experience. Just recently the climate control went crazy and would sometimes blow hot air on the driver side while blowing cold on the passenger side. Had the controls reset and now seems to be okay."

It's a big vehicle with a long wheel base and large turning radius. Hard to park but you can't have everything."
