"Drivers door handle broke internally"

"The handle on the driver door failed. The handle is plastic and the mechanism that connected the handle to the operation of the door became disconnected. According to mechanic, this is an ongoing problem with this vehicle model"

"My truck had always used more oil than I thought it should from the time it was new. This is a known problem with GM trucks with active fuel management(AFM). At around 45,000 miles it started to have a shutter, I took it in to the dealer and was told that plugs #1 and #7 were fouled. You are not supposed to have to change the plugs but every 100,000 miles. They replaced the plugs and installed a new valve cover that has the PCV valve built into it, and that was supposed to fix the problem, at around 51,000 miles it fouled the plugs again. The only way to fix the massive oil burning, 1.5 quarts between 4,000 mile oil changes, and plug fouling is to put a new set of rings in the engine. I ended up having to pay $550 of the repair, even though it had happened originally while under the powertrain warranty. I have since put around 12,000 miles on the truck and with the help of an aftermarket device that keeps the truck in V-8 mode all of the time, it does not burn a drop of oil."

"The engine, from new, had a ticking noise sounding like a sticking lifter. I mentioned this numerous times to the GM dealer who told me their mechanics determined it was nothing. I had the motor fail to start several times, but it started after trying several times over the course of an hour. Finally the vehicle started shuddering violently while being operated and the GM dealer acknowledged the engine block had to be replaced because two cylinders were badly damaged with extensive scoring on the cylinder walls. The engine was replaced under warranty."

"I brought the vehicle into a GM dealer for a multipoint inspection and have the passenger side low beam headlight replaced. They found nothing wrong and also said the headlight did not need replacing. The next day, while I was replacing the headlight, I noticed the radiator was leaking. The radiator needed to be replaced at a substantial cost. A week later I found a frozen gallon container of water loose in the engine compartment. I believe GM needs to supervise its dealers a little more closely."
