The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2023 GMC Yukon XL owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.

Radiator, cooling fan, water pump, thermostat, antifreeze leaks, overheating.
"Was heading out of town and engine started making a clicking sound. Took it right to dealer and was told I should probably not drive it and he would have a mechanic look at it the next morning. I had a trailer on the back of my Yukon that I needed to drop off at home about 5 miles away. He said take it slow and you should be alright. Dropped the trailer off and headed back but only made it about halfway and the vehicle completely died and had to be towed in. At first GMC was thinking they would rebuild the motor til they realized it was more than a rebuild and approved a new motor."
