The latest Honda Accord stands out as a comfortable, roomy, and efficient midsized sedan that's nice to drive and easy to live with. While it doesn't have the pizzazz of some competitors, the four-cylinder Accord remains competitive in this class. The Accord is also available with a spirited and economical V6, or as a conventional hybrid (the plug-in model is discontinued for 2016).

What Owners Say

Backup or other camera/sensors

"The backup camera became dislodged from its mount and the mount had to be replaced"

Daniel S., VA (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 3.5-L V6)

"Backup camera came loose and was replaced"

Anonymous, IN (2016 Honda Accord LX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"Phone calls (bluetooth) disconnects frequently & phone calls are dropped and the display screen freezes up. The bluetooth volume is very loud and distracting. Dealer tells me nothing can be done about the high volume. Software was updated, still having frequent problems (daily)"

Michael P., CA (2016 Honda Accord Sport 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"Screen often changes wihout command and difficult to change back"

Joel N., FL (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"Problems with Android Auto and the Honda Display screen. Not fully compatible even though Honda supports Android Auto"

Anonymous, TX (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)
External music device interface (e.g., smart phone, MP3 player)

"Syncing GPS on phone with Bluetooth. Can't consistently get voice directions. Adding a new phone was very difficult. I had my first phone added by a technician at the dealer and even he had difficulty. Hands free is often distracting and I can't always answer calls without picking up my phone. Not a user friendly system"

Elizabeth S., MA (2016 Honda Accord Unsure 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"Apple car play and the navigation system sometimes go off line. A restart of the car is required to get these back on line"

Anonymous, MA (2016 Honda Accord Touring 3.5-L V6)

"Faulty power supply connection required a few dealer visits to fix"

Anonymous, QC (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)
In-dash navigation system (GPS)

"1. Navigation System does not load up the maps. 2. The Navigation System frequently does not know where it is"

Anonymous, SC (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"Map is continually incorrect as to location. Pinpoints my location 2-3 miles from actual location. Then suddenly will revert to correct location. "Where to," is extremely difficult to use. Old system of 2012 model much simpler to use and accurate. Had to order paper manual which also is of little help"

Anonymous, CT (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 3.5-L V6)

"it's worthless. Biggest problem is that it doesn't remember where it was parked. Thus, it takes 3-10 minutes after you start the car for the satellites to figure out where you are and hence where to go"

Bob R., WA (2016 Honda Accord EX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"Kept losing satellite. Dealer replaced antenna"

Anonymous, MA (2016 Honda Accord Touring 3.5-L V6)

"Extremely difficult to adjust voice level of the GPS"

Joel N., FL (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)
Phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth)

"Find it very difficult to use. Answering hands free is inconsistent and distracting to do. I especially have difficulty syncing my phone GPS with Bluetooth. Can't get the voice directions. Also just got new phone and found it very hard to add it. Originally the dealer had to do it. Other problem: Twice all the warning lights came on indicating every possible problem! Had to take it to dealer both times ( computer problem) and eventually they had to reset the system as advised by Honda headquar"

Elizabeth S., MA (2016 Honda Accord Unsure 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"The voice command system stopped recognizing my voice despite having the same phone. At the dealership, they deleted my phone from the car memory and we re-paired the phone with the car. So far, this has worked"

Anonymous, AZ (2016 Honda Accord LX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"Using voice commands to make a call only works 50% of the time. And with that, only 50% of the calls that go through go to the car speaker. The other half you have to hit TRANSFER on the screen while the person on the other end is screaming "Hello?""

Renee W., CA (2016 Honda Accord Touring 3.5-L V6)

"Radio does not work properly. It fades in and out & seems like a software issue as it seems unrelated to reception of the radio signal"

Michael P., CA (2016 Honda Accord Sport 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"The AM and FM stations will stop receiving a signal yet the satellite radio still works. The radio has been replaced but the problem still exists. I have to shut the car off to reboot the system to make it operational again. Otherwise the car is great"

David B., ON (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"It would not tune the radio outside of the Atlanta area, where I purchased it. It was replaced by Honda without charge"

Anonymous, GA (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"The User Interface in this radio system is truly poor. Lack of rotary volume control knob is the number one issue. This slider systems is crap. Too many screens to simply switch from AM to FM is another. On other cars like the Chevy Cruze, you have soft buttons that can actually choose AM or FM stations directly. Not on this car. It takes 5 steps to switch from one bluetooth (my wifes) phone to mine. In my 2011 Accord I could do that with one voice command. Although touchscreens are defa"

Anonymous, ON (2016 Honda Accord LX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"The radio would go off randomly. The only way to restart it was to turn off the car and turn back on. The car software (M83) was finally corrected and updated after owning the car for 6 months"

Anonymous, BC (2016 Honda Accord LX-S 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"The radio stops functioning at random moments. Only way to restore is to turn engine off and on to force a reboot of the system. Has been reported to Honda at every service since purchase"

Anonymous, ON (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"experienced failure in radio reception which was found to be caused by a break in the imbedded antenna in the rear window; an attempt to reoair the break failed so Honda replaced the rear window at no cost"

Anonymous, MA (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 3.5-L V6)

"The radio drops out ALL THE TIME. In bright light and blue skies. Infuriating"

Renee W., CA (2016 Honda Accord Touring 3.5-L V6)
Steering wheel controls

"Transmission shudder at set speeds. I go to the dealer and they can feel it. So I am in limbo"

Gary H., OR (2016 Honda Accord LX-S 3.5-L V6)
Voice control commands

"It frequently does not recognize the voice command when using the phone and / or it brings up options after the voice command which is far more than needed and not close to the command"

Anonymous, SC (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"The voice commands are completely useless. It can NEVER figure out what I'm saying"

Bob R., WA (2016 Honda Accord EX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"System stopped recognizing voice commands altogether. Had to delete and re-pair my phone at the dealership. Even when it does recognize my voice, it never correctly recognizes the name of an entry in my Contacts. It usually comes up with multiple names - most of which don't sound anything like what I said. Thus I have to go through a separate step to pick from a list. Sometimes it thinks I'm speaking numbers and spits out some digits on the screen. So then I have to start all over. Further"

Anonymous, AZ (2016 Honda Accord LX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"the car just has a lot of wind noise I think it just due to how the car is made not a defect"

Anonymous, MD (2016 Honda Accord EX-L 3.5-L V6)

"Some wind rush by drivers ear, solved in first attempt by adding some extra material as per service advisory"

"I had always heard about the unreliability issues that Honda owners had complained to dealerships about, but Honda Management in Japan choose to not report, which lead to falsely high reliability ratings. In short, Honda management lied, for over 11 years, to the US government and falsely overstated Honda reliability. The government then fined Honda the largest ever fine at the time, (Jan 2015)$35 million dollars, twice. One $35M fine for false reliability reporting, and the second $35M fine f"
