    Honda Civic Si

    Latest Model

    2022 Model Redesign Year
Honda refreshed the Civic for 2025. Thanks to suspension tweaks, most Civics get a ride comfort improvement but not the Si. The stiff and choppy ride can send big jolts into the cabin on rougher roads. The current Civic features a less cluttered interior and a simpler infotainment system. The sporty Si sedan comes only with a six-speed manual transmission and a 200-hp turbo engine. The precise shifter is a delight to operate.
The cabin is relatively roomy, but the car's low-slung stance makes it awkward to get in and out. The touch-screen infotainment system is very easy to use. The Si gets standard BSW and RCTW which are available only on the top Civic trims.

    2017-2021

    2017 Model Redesign Year
Redesigned for 2017, the Civic Si, available as either a coupe or a four-door sedan, uses a powerful 205-hp, 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that revs easily, sounds invigorating. The high- performance Type R with a 306-hp, 2.0-liter turbo engine also debuted in the U.S.. The standard six-speed manual transmission has ideally spaced gear ratios and shifts crisply. It gets a commendable 32 mpg overall in our tests. However, the Si falls short as a sports sedan. While the handling is capable, it is uninspiring and lacking in finesse, and the steering lacks feel and response.
The ride is very stiff and noise levels are extremely high. The Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver assisted technologies became standard for 2020.

    2006-2011

    2006 Model Redesign Year
The Civic Si is a sporty coupe based on the top-rated small Civic sedan. It comes with a smooth, powerful 197-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that revs easily and sounds invigorating. The five-speed manual transmission is replaced by a six-speed manual. It has ideally spaced gear ratios and shifts crisply. Handling is fairly nimble with tenacious tire grip. But the electric steering feels a bit vague and short on feedback.
Its response is not linear, detracting from the car's agility and sporty character. The ride is stiff and choppy and road noise is pronounced. The Si manages to deliver spirited acceleration as well as commendable fuel economy.
