    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Display screen goes blank

"Blank (odometer, trip A,B, gas level)screen on start up 70 to 80 % of time. Can take up to an hour to display properly. Never resolved"

Anonymous A., FL (2019 Honda Fit Unsure 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

"In cold weather the entire electronic control panel does not display until the car warms/heats up"

Anonymous, VA (2019 Honda Fit Unsure 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

""In cold wet weather, dash gauges go out until car heats up, about 5 minutes.""

Anonymous, IL (2019 Honda Fit Unsure 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Other in-car electronics problem

""The dash instrument digital display failed and had to be replaced. This included display of the odometer, gas gage, and other less essential functions (trip odometer, gas mileage display, remaining oil life, and other things).""

Anonymous, TN (2019 Honda Fit LX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

    Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other/unsure

"battery is too small and doesn't stay charged. I have to start it in the driveway to let it charge because I don't drive it enough per the dealer."

Anonymous, WA (2019 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

"We had to replace the entire instrument panel this year due to poor soldering on Hondas part. It was an expensive repair and I called Honda to get goodwill assistance but they misrepresented what they were offering me and I still paid for the bulk of the repair. This should be a recall."

Anonymous, MA (2019 Honda Fit LX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

"Something got into the engine area and ate a lot of wiring requiring a new wire harness"

Anonymous, NE (2019 Honda Fit LX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

    "Paint has begun to peel."

Anonymous, TN (2019 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

    Fuel System/Emissions

Sensors (O₂, or oxygen, sensor), emission-control devices (includes EGR), fuel-injection system, fuel gauge/sender, fuel pump, problems filling up the tank.

    What Owners Say

    Fuel injection system

""Fuel injector got clogged ostensibly from bad gas, but take my other Honda to same stations with no problems. It was hard to find a dealer with parts and the way the parts were priced was wonky. I had to buy a kit with parts that were not needed for the repair to get a cheaper price, then had to drive to a dealer over an hour away to pick up the kit from the 1 dealer who had it in stock. I bought the parts at 1 dealer and had a closer dealer do the repair. Also of the Honda dealer parts shops I called each one told me differing and somewhat contradictory information.""

Anonymous, VA (2019 Honda Fit Unsure 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

""As we understood per the representative at the Honda White Plains, NY dealership the fuel injection system, i.e. fuel injectors, all needed to be replaced as a result of the failure of the fuel pump.""

Anonymous, NY (2019 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)
    Fuel pump

""The fuel pump failed after driving the Honda 2019 Fit after 7 months. We knew that there were some fuel pump failure problems with some of the other Fit vehicles before we even bought our car because of past recalls my husband and I read about concerning the Fit. Unfortunately, our Fit was not one of those vehicles recalled, we later learned. During early June 2024, as I was driving, the car would hesitate before accelerating, in addition, when stopping for a red light or STOP sign, the engine would stall and I had to restart the engine. This happened for a couple of days when I realized, as a matter of safety, I should take it in to a Honda dealership for repairs. My husband and I took the car to the Honda White Plains, NY, Bank Street Dealership and Service Center. The Fit was held for about 3/4 days until they were able to discover the problem and repair the fuel pump. The cost for us was $1,200, to repair the car's fuel pump and other related failures. I was informed by a Honda representative there that the fuel pump was not covered under the Honda True Certified Pre-Owned Warranty. I subsequently wrote to Mr. Kazuhiro Takizawa, President Honda Motor Co., Torrance, CA, dated July 23, 2024, and requested some sort of compensation for the cost of repairs for the 2019 Fit that I bought in good faith (we still retain a copy of that letter), and explained that had the car stalled while driving on a road or highway we could have been killed--he didn't even bother to reply. With no reply forthcoming, my husband and I were too exhausted to prolong our fight for some kind of compensatory justice.""

Anonymous, NY (2019 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

    Paint/Trim

Paint (fading, chalking, peeling, or cracking), loose interior or exterior trim or moldings, rust.

    What Owners Say

Paint (fading, chalking, cracking, or peeling)

""In 2024, the paint on the roof of the car between sunroof and the windshield peeled away.""

    Anonymous, CA (2019 Honda Fit EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

"Last year the paint on the roof started peeling off in sheets. Honda won't back it."

Anonymous, IL (2019 Honda Fit Unsure 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

    Noises/Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Air or water leaks

"When it rained the floor would get soaked. Took it back 3 times before it was fixed."

Anonymous, MD (2019 Honda Fit Unsure 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

    Drive System

Driveshaft or axle, CV joint, differential, transfer case, four-wheel-drive/all-wheel-drive components, driveline vibration, electrical failure, traction control, electronic stability control.

    What Owners Say

    CV joint

"have not had it repaired yet but I know that a CV joint requires repair because the car started making soft clicking noise when the steering is turned all the way to the right."

Anonymous A., MI (2019 Honda Fit EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl)

    Climate System

AC compressor, blower (fan) motor, condenser, evaporator, heater system, automatic climate system, electrical failure, refrigerant leakage.

    What Owners Say

    A/C compressor

""It developed a leak that required replacement. in the end of March, 2025, I noticed the A/C made a sound when I turned it on for the first time since October 2024. This was near a service interval. It was replaced by an independent mechanic.""
