What Owners Say
"This is a car guys truck, it drives more like a Honda Accord than a pickup. Very composed and comfortable for light truck jobs, just what we needed."
Anonymous, VA (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Fast and solid"
Terrence R., IL (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"This truck/SUV drives like a dream."
George B., NH (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Smooth and very well handling for a truck"
Michael S., NC (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"There's nothing good about the driving and handling of a Ridgeline other than it is capable of moving. I think a school bus is more performing and easier to drive. Acceleration, turning radius, handling are all what I'd expect from a 1980s Oldsmobile. Perhaps that's what this truck was based on."
Jeff S., OK (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Acceleration is adequate but not impressive, slightly underpowered as it often downshifts (two passengers and light cargo) when encountering even modest uphill grades. Steering is responsive but turn circle is quite large making parking a touch challenging."
Chris K., OK (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"I use the Ridgeline for long distance over-night driving. I put a Leer cap on it to carry family belongings. On the freeway it consistently gets just over 19 mpg consistently. The truck accelerates and handles very well."
Anonymous, RI (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"The Ridgeline drives and handles like a car but has the great utility of a truck. It offers the best combination of the two better than any truck available."
Tom C., NC (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Qwik and responsive to all road conditions"
Anonymous, SC (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"High utitlity, under powered for towing a 18' trailer"
Anonymous, BC (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Excellent handling. Tows 3,500 lb trailer effortlessly."
Anonymous, PA (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"extremely wide turning circle. Makes U-turns problematic."
John T., MD (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"The truck handles great. Very responsive steering. Excellent braking. It has plenty of get up and go."
Brigitte W., FL (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Great handling and good acceleration"
Thomas D., CA (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"The acceleration is very quick and quite quiet, and the handling is secure at all speeds and road types."
John S., VA (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"acceleration is a little slow, but more than adequate for my use. the annoying delay when you accelerate from stop into traffic is sometimes frightening and totally unexpected. Ridgeline handling is excellent, enjoyable ride."
John E., OK (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"The Ridgeline accelerates nicely for a V6 truck. It is very manuverable but has a very wide turning radius. Going on long trips is like riding in a luxury sedan. It drives very smoothly and is excellent on the highway."
Matt K., TX (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Very easy to handle and has decent acceleration for a truck. Wish it had a back-up camera since it is hard to see the bumper edge."
Anonymous, CA (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Best handling pickup ever"
Dale B., CO (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Flexibility. Drives like a car but works like a truck"
Anonymous, ON (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"The acceleration is adequate. Handling very good."
Robert H., BC (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Handles and rides like a car. Acceleration is as good as I'd want."
Anonymous, TX (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Quick to accelerate. Enjoyable to drive."
Anonymous, PA (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"The truck drives very smooth, and handles with ease. Acceleration is decent, no engine loss, and when you need a boost, you can get it, fast"
Anonymous, PA (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"It has a nice ride. Acceleration is not as strong as I would like. Great handling truck."
James B., TN (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"I love this truck ,handles better than any truck I’ve ever owned! Was disappointed in fuel mileage but still love this 10 yr old truck ! I don’t like the looks of the current model Ridgeline and way too expensive! Oh love the duel working tailgate and the under bed storage area! In winter this truck is so good on snowy roads ,love it and it’s been trouble free!!!"
Paul M., VT (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Great acceleration and handling"
Anonymous, MN (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"I expected better mileage but, power is most adequate. 4wd will take you where ever you want to go. Handles like a sportscar."
Carl A., AL (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Good. It is a great combination of good gas mileage for a truck. 4 Wheel drive, 4 door cab. The lockable trunk in the truck bed is a nice feature. Very nice ride, of course it is built on a Pilot frame I believe. Also the cab sits high off the road which gives good visibility and the car sits high off the road which is good for clearing curbs when parking and driving over snow (unplowed driveway). Bad: rather short truck bed (5 ft long) and very wide turning radius."
JOHN T., MD (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Power is acceptable, but I wish it had a little more power."
JEROME M., NY (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Poor Acceleration."
Anonymous, MD (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"fantastic"
JAMES M., WI (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Comfortable seats and ride."
H B., FL (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"On icy roads have to turn off the vehicle stability system to get the car moving."
Anonymous, AK (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Handles well and great towing capabilities"
ROBERT C., NB (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Honda's always active, automatic VTM-4 system affords good traction for inclement weather conditions."
JACK K., OR (2008 Honda Ridgeline)"Winter driving"
J D., ON (2008 Honda Ridgeline)
"the acceleration if very good, the truck get the advertised mileage and it sticks to the road like glue in summer and winter with the Michelin LTX m&s tires."
Marion R., ON (2008 Honda Ridgeline)
