Anonymous, AB (2015 Hyundai Genesis None 3.8-L V6)"proximity warning either provided spurious input (very infrequently) or no input at all in forward drive"
Anonymous, AZ (2015 Hyundai Genesis)"The front sensors have been working intermittingly. When I place the car in reverse they come on and work for a while. Once I'm driving and come to an occasion I might need them they are not working. Example entering my garage they don't indicate when I'm getting close to objects. When I took it in for service they were of course working, I have made a new appointment to try and determine a fix. The dealer as yet does not acknowledge any issue they can fix"

Barry K., FL (2015 Hyundai Genesis None 3.8-L V6)"I am titled as a Certified Computer Professional (CCP). For us users there are 4 functions to perform which are to ADD (to create the whole of) something as new that now needs to be added; or to CHANGE something that is there now that needs to be updated; or DELETE the whole of something that is there now, which is no longer needed; or VIEW something which allows users to just look at it. This rule is true for all software applications! Leonard Rattini, CCP"

Anonymous, FL (2015 Hyundai Genesis None 3.8-L V6)"System misidentifies correct location of vehicle, causing it to give faulty directions."
Anonymous, FL (2015 Hyundai Genesis None 3.8-L V6)"Navigation system will guide you off a highway, through some side roads, and back on the highway. This is reproducible on several roads in my vicinity, including state and interstate highways. Hyundai recommends to but map update (nothing wrong with the map, the interstate has been in the same place since the 1960's and the state highway was finished in 2009. This is not a map issue, it's a routing issue. Map updates cost $219.00 about once or twice a year, and are outdated when delivered. Google maps is free, has better traffic information (for traffic updates one also needs a SiriusXM subscription for $100+/year) and much better updates for new roads, and better POI coverage. The Genesis GPS system is useless unless one spends >$300 per year to keep maps updated that are free on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have been added to all lower spec 2015 Hyundai Genesis models at no charge, but not to the Ultimate trim. Buying the most expensive version of that car gets you the privilege to pay extra for lower quality maps and traffic guidance. GPS unit had to be replaced once (losing all settings, stored addresses, radio stations, etc.) due to a failure of the SiriusXM radio portion of the unit. Since then, the voice recognition is worse, map guidance seems to have gotten worse, and dealer refuses to update software (buy the map update for $219 is the solution)."
Otmar F., TX (2015 Hyundai Genesis None 3.8-L V6)"GPS often does not recognize cities or address for input. Sometime it works, often it doesn't."

Stanley B., NC (2015 Hyundai Genesis None 5.0-L V8)"complicated and unintuitive. over half the addresses I input can't be found. Maps are inaccurate. Took to dealer for an update and was told it would cost $300. This navigation system absolutely STINKS!"
Robert M., WV (2015 Hyundai Genesis None 3.8-L V6)"The entire screen went blank navigation/back-up camera/radio system everything. A few weeks later the car would not start or do anything. We had not the screen situation yet Green Hyundai guarantee towed our car for repairs - the battery had no power. The cost of the battery was $400. We had to pay $300 prorated after 2 yrs age no bumper to bumper guarantee. They had to order a new electronics unit radio/navigation/blue tooth. This was under guarantee for 3 years. Now new sy"
