Anonymous, CO (2015 Hyundai Genesis None 3.8-L V6)"parasitic current draw. If the car was left un-driven for 10 or more the battery would be completely drained with 1.0 volt DC. I would be unable to jump start it with my pickup truck and would have to put it on a battery charger for several days. As long as I drove it every couple days it would be fine. Dealer said it was faulty hood latch sensor, charge me 400 for diagnostic and repair. Four months later I didn't drive the car for at least a week and the same problem occurred. Life got in the way, never went back to the dealer and too much time had passed, so now I just make sure I always drive it every few days, a little more difficult since being retired."
Anonymous A., CA (2015 Hyundai Genesis None 5.0-L V8)""Occasionally I will push the start button and the starter would not run. Finally I tried to move the shifter from park to drive and back and that fixed it. I think it's a problem with the switch that won't start the car unless it's in park or neutral, but I don't want to spend the money to have it diagnosed and fixed as long as I can fix it by moving the shift lever for those times when the car won't start.""
