For its 2015 redesign, Hyundai sent the Genesis luxury car back for more fitness training and delivered a competitor that's more refined and fun to drive than the original. This second-generation Genesis makes for a much more convincing alternative to an Audi A6 or a BMW 5 Series than did its predecessor. Known for being a great value, financially the Genesis continues to be an enticing value proposition.

"Rear seat armrest cup holder rattles. Was told there was nothing that could be done and replacing it may not solve the problem so nothing was done"

David L., LA (2016 Hyundai Genesis None 3.8-L V6)

"Have had a nagging rattle for a few years. Seems to originate from the rear of the car but not sure. Rattle occurs regardless of temperature or season of the year. After 3-5 minutes it stops. Will return when you re-use vehicle."

Anonymous, AL (2016 Hyundai Genesis None 3.8-L V6)

"the panorama roof on the car has rattled since day one, it is apparently a known issue with certain batches of Genesis sedans, and repeated visits to the dealer and repeated repairs and inspections by senior Hyundai techs have not resolved the problem; at this point, it's a deal-breaker for getting another Genesis after this lease ends"

Anonymous, VA (2016 Hyundai Genesis None 3.8-L V6)

"A couple of squeaks and rattles have come and gone. I did not have service look into them because when I've been there, I could not notice any issues."

"I was told my 2016 Genesis Ultimate, with 9.2" high-res display, would accept Apple CarPlay. It did NOT and I am told it will NEVER be able to use Apple CarPlay. This was a MAJOR deception by Hyundai. The car itself is great but I do not/will not trust them to buy another one of their products"

Hardware replacement

"The system software works fine except that the maps database, both the 2015 version than came with my car, plus the 2016 upgrade I got, are woefully inaccurate and inadequate to use day to day for many destinations. I use my iPhone and Apple or Google Maps or Waze apps to get around, and MUCH better than their maps database"
