    What Owners Say

    Other electric/hybrid motor problem

"computer module that is controlling the parking brake broke down...and i was told that it is NOT COVERED BY the 100K power train warranty. Hard to understand how a COMPUTER module which on an ELECTRIC CAR, prevents the car from being driven, is not covered by POWER TRAIN warranty"

Anonymous, CA (2019 Hyundai Ioniq Electric Electric)

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Other/unsure

Anonymous, BC (2019 Hyundai Ioniq Electric Electric)

    Engine Minor

Accessory belts and pulleys, engine computer, engine mounts, engine knock or ping, fuel leaks, oil leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Engine computer

"The engine light turned on. Technician found problems with the Sensor Circuit, Heater Control Circuit Ranger Performance, and Sensor Signal Stuck Lean. The problem was completely solved. They replaced all the faulty components. The job was still under Hyundais garanty."

    Anonymous A., CT (2019 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid 1.6-L 4 Cyl plug-in hybrid)

    Fuel System/Emissions

Sensors (O₂, or oxygen, sensor), emission-control devices (includes EGR), fuel-injection system, fuel gauge/sender, fuel pump, problems filling up the tank.

    What Owners Say

Sensors (includes O2 or oxygen sensor)

"The check engine light keeps coming on. The oxygen sensor had to be replaced, but we were warned that because of this and the length of time it took to even get the appointment, we might have to replace the catalytic converter as well. $700 later we replaced the sensor and several months later the check engine light came on again. You can't get an appointment at a Hyundai dealer for months in the Sacramento region, but we got lucky and an appointment appeared after constantly checking for weeks. This time it was determined to be the sensor again and that a software update was needed. There was no charge since it was within warranty, but several months later and the check engine light comes on intermittently. You can't get into any dialogue with Hyundai. They are overwhelmed with all sorts of issues."
