Anonymous, OH (2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"The navigation system can only be updated by the dealer according to the dealer. This update would cost $231 plus installation and taxes, etc which seems rather expensive since most computer programs can be updated free or very cheap. Hyundai should have regular updates available at no charge or a modest charge. This issue will prevent me from considering another Hyundai vehicle when we replace that vehicle. The traction on the original Solus tires was absolutely terrible. I had to replace them at 20,000 miles and the difference from the Solus tires to the replacements proved that I should have replaced the Solus tires much sooner."

"Screen did not calibrate touch location with information shown on display"

Anonymous, FL (2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T 2.0-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"The GPS went out about 2 years ago. Hyundai replaced it. Eight months ago the replacement unit went out for a couple of hours. This is a intermittent problem. It took seven months to get a loaner from the dealer. They kept the SUV for two weeks. They told me Hyundai will not replace the GPS. I WON'T BUY HYUNDAI AGAIN"

Joseph G., BC (2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T 2.0-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"Engine blew. Some strange noise from the engine. Stopped immediately and had it towed to dealer. When they were moving it into the dealer a rod went through the pan. Only had it for a few months. Shop replaced with a supposedly rebuilt engine. Less than a month later, oil light came on. Took back to dealer and they found there was a leak from the new engine. Replaced with a short block. Then the oil cooling unit went out. This part I had to pay for. Was furious about that!"

Jonathan N., PA (2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T 2.0-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"Traveling on the interstate the engine suddenly broke a rod and threw the cylinder thru the side of the engine. This was similar to the engine issues with the Hyundai Sonata that led to a recall. Fortunately the engine was under warranty and was replaced... but only got a remanufactured engine. Causes me to not trust the 2013 engine or maybe any other Hyundai engine! This failure could have easily caused my death and others on the interstate when the engine just suddenly locks up and shuts d"

There is a very small rust point now beginning to form. I contacted Hyundai Corporate who asked me to take the car to my local dealer. I took it last week. "Car had a knocking sound off and on. We heard it when we would slow down. Just had the brakes replaced so thought it was that. Took it back at least twice, possible three times They said the brakes needed to be cleaned. While on a trip the engine seized and did other damage to the vehicle. It seems they had problems with the sonata and there was a recall on those cars. The sport only has a campaign out at this time. The recall is forthcoming. Hyundai did pay for all the damage. I also"
