CR's Take
Tall or portly people need not apply. But if you can fit in the Tiburons cramped cockpit, you will find this coupe has a lot going for it. Based on the old Hyundai Elantra sedan, the Tiburon handles crisply and steers as responsively as many true sports cars. You may even forgive the Tiburons stiff, noisy ride, a quality you expect in a sporty coupe. The seats are very firm, low, and narrow. And, as in many such cars, the rear seat is tiny. The 2.0-liter, 140-hp Four provides eager acceleration and good fuel economy. The shifter is a bit vague, though.
