With its low, distinctive coupe-like styling and agile handling, the Veloster is an original and innovative design. Based on the subcompact Accent, the Veloster features a unique asymmetrical door layout, with a single rear door only on the passenger side to ease rear seat access and add more practicality than a traditional coupe.
As an affordable sporty coupe, the Veloster hits the mark. It's fun to drive, with a willing engine and good shifter feel. A reasonable price and generous equipment level add to the appeal. On the downside, driver visibility is restricted some, ride quality is on the rough side, and more noise isolation would help. A 201-hp, turbocharged model is available, as is a slightly less-powerful version with the 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine.
In most cases, automotive warranties are based on the vehicle identification number (VIN), and the warranty will be valid regardless of ownership. The dealership can tell you exactly how much warranty is left.
