This version of the Infiniti G was our top-rated car in its class. Quick, agile and sporty, the pleasantly refined driver’s car rides comfortably. However, both the cockpit and the rear seat are snug. The trunk is also small. Reliability History Reliability History The reliability charts are based on responses on hundreds of thousands of vehicles from our latest Annual Auto Survey. Consumer Reports subscribers reported on any serious problems they had with their vehicles during the past 12 months that they considered serious because of cost, failure, safety, or downtime, in any of the trouble spots included in the table below. The results are presented relative to the average model that year. Extra weight is given to the more serious areas such as major engine or transmission problems. Based on this data and further analysis, we predict reliability for the latest year. N/A indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.

Our subscribers provide great insights into their satisfaction by answering one simple question: If they had it to do all over again, would they definitely buy or lease the same model? In addition, respondents also rate their cars in six categories: driving experience, comfort, value, styling, audio, and climate systems. Anonymous, GA (2007 Infiniti G Base 3.5-L V6)

"Compressor failed summer of 2016. The AC would just blow hot air. Had to have it replaced at the dealership. The cost was around $2500. They did a great job, and haven't had a problem since. Biggest problem was the price"

Jacob L., AZ (2007 Infiniti G Journey 3.5-L V6)

"Compressor failed requiring replacement of whole system. not bad for a 10 yr old car in the hot South. Cost was approx. $1700.00 at a very reputable repair shop.Prior to failure, the system "blew ice cubes"! Cools very quickly even after sitting in an open parking lot with 105 degrees all day"

What Owners Say

Anonymous, VA (2007 Infiniti G Sport 3.5-L V6)
Sensors (includes O2 or oxygen sensor)

"Check engine light on for a few years. Had one O2 sensor replaced but was told car has more than one. Did not proceed since repair cost is more than value of car."

"6 disk magazine draining battery"

Michael S., CA (2007 Infiniti G Sport 3.5-L V6)

"CD player stopped working with six discs stuck inside of it. Don't remember all that the Dealer said but from what I understand is that because of the way car was built, it has different connections and replacing just the CD player is not an option to having the problem resolved - the entire thing would have to be replaced - everything that was connected to the CD player in the area provided for CD player. If handled by dealer cost would be expensive. Dealer referred me me to company and they also said entire ting would have to be replaced. I'm not prepared to spend that much."

Anonymous, FL (2007 Infiniti G Sport 3.5-L V6)
