The Infiniti G25 sports sedan offers almost everything the top-rated G37 does but costs less. The G25 is agile and fun to drive. Further, its interior is well finished and fairly quiet. Definitely skewing toward the sporty side, ride quality is taut, composed and comfortable enough -- but not exactly luxurious. With its smaller V6, the G25 is noticeably slower than the G37, but gets substantially better fuel economy.

Reliability History Reliability History The reliability charts are based on responses on hundreds of thousands of vehicles from our latest Annual Auto Survey. Consumer Reports subscribers reported on any serious problems they had with their vehicles during the past 12 months that they considered serious because of cost, failure, safety, or downtime, in any of the trouble spots included in the table below. The results are presented relative to the average model that year. Extra weight is given to the more serious areas such as major engine or transmission problems. Based on this data and further analysis, we predict reliability for the latest year. N/A indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.

Owner Satisfaction Owner Satisfaction To learn about satisfaction, CR has collected survey data from our annual survey on more than half a million vehicles. Our subscribers provide great insights into their satisfaction by answering one simple question: If they had it to do all over again, would they definitely buy or lease the same model? In addition, respondents also rate their cars in six categories: driving experience, comfort, value, styling, audio, and climate systems. N/A indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.

Body Integrity

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, loose or cracked seals and/or weather-stripping, air and water leaks.

What Owners Say

SUSn O., TX (2013 Infiniti G IPL 3.7-L V6)

"Water pours into the passenger foot compartment when it rains. Source unknown, but it falls from behind the glove box"

Anonymous, CA (2013 Infiniti G Base 3.7-L V6)

"During the rainy season, water was collecting in the footwell of the passenger side of the vehicle. It turned out to be a seal for the wiring harness, between the engine compartment and the passenger compartment. Initially they said it was not warranty, since it was just a $3 seal that failed (even though it required a full wiring harness replacement, since the seal only came bundled with a $5000 wiring harness! I escalated to the Dealership Management and they figured out a way to have it covered under the original warranty. I was pleased with the final result, but it took several weeks to resolve."

Anonymous, CA (2013 Infiniti G Journey 3.7-L V6)

"The sunroof drain's connection through the firewall failed, causing the sunroof to drain into the passenger footwell"

Anonymous, VA (2013 Infiniti G Sport 3.7-L V6)

"sunroof leaks had to change body control module"

Diego P., PA (2013 Infiniti G X 3.7-L V6)

Michelle L., CA (2013 Infiniti G Journey 3.7-L V6)
Exterior lights (other than headlights)

"Rear license plate light failed due to plastic fatigue/brittleness. It's a mandatory feature in our state so it required replacement. It was a tad expensive but the car has been amazing otherwise. The lights still operated but the plastic tab that holds them in place became brittle and snapped causing the light to dangle. My only surprise was that the metal bracket was somewhat corroded as we live in area that uses a lot of road salt.
