Infiniti's QX50 dates back to 2008. For 2016 it gets a freshening and a 3-inch-longer wheelbase, which grants more than 4 additional inches to rear-seat leg and knee room. But underneath, it's still essentially a raised-wagon version of the old G37 sedan, a car we liked very much for its quickness, agility, and composed ride.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

What Owners Say

"Fast for an SUV. Great handling. Does not drive like an SUV."

Anonymous, TX (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"Built on a sports car platform, excellent acceleration and handling. A fun car to drive and very comfortable but at the same time has enough room for five people and cargo."

Brian L., BC (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"Acceleration is choppy. Inconsistent at best."

Anonymous, NM (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"Pickup and cornering feels sports sedan like. Passing at speed is a breeze. Sport mode just increases the enjoyment of the vehicle."

Henry Z., SC (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"3.7 litres V6 with a 7 speed gearbox provides instantaneous acceleration. Responsive steering with good feedback using hydraulic power steering."

Anonymous, AB (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"I love how the vehicle handles for a crossover, its responsive and handles great."

Anonymous, CA (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"excellent handling and acceleration. slight hesitation initially on full power acceleration. Unusually powerful engine"

M M., FL (2016 Infiniti QX50)

Anonymous, AZ (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"Acce;eration ig and that's what stands out. Visibility is not very good and its too low to the ground even though its a crossover."

Anonymous, FL (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"Good acceleration & handling"

Sheila J., IL (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"The car has an extremely smooth shifting electronic transmission and combined with the V6 engine, accelerates quickly, especially on entering expressways. With a low center of gravity, the care hugs the turns. Overall, it is a enjoyable car to drive."

Anonymous, TN (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"All is outstanding."

Kim H., CO (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"Sporty for an SUV. Would trade some of the hp for more torque."

"The acceleration is very uneven and jerky."

Ron R., TX (2016 Infiniti QX50)

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"Rear view is limited."

Anonymous, NJ (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"Excellent position and comfort. Solid acceleration and steering quality. 360 camera very useful for parking, particularly in low light environments i.e. under-ground parking facilities. But, quite high fuel consumption..."

Michael M., BC (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"They are very comfortable."

Anonymous, AZ (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"Very sporty. Ride is bumpy and steering is a full time job."

Anonymous, OH (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"All is outstanding on this vehicle."

Kim H., CO (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"The ride is extremely smooth with very, very little road noise. The seats are very comfortable on long road trips. There are sufficient adjustments that made the driving position very comfortable with excellent visibility."

Anonymous, TN (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"The head rests are so uncomfortable that my wife has to turn them around in their mountings, something I consider unwise. Unfortunately almost all cars on the market force the drivers head forward in comparison to the seat. Consumer reports should weigh in on this topic, I realize the science indicates it’s safer but if it’s so uncomfortable you can’t use it it is not safe."

Anonymous, MA (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"The most supportive seats and range of adjustment is great. Quiet cabin even on harsh roads makes conversation with others a pleasure. No shouting. Ride is fabulous on concrete and asphalt surfaces. Handles broken pavement flawlessly."

Henry Z., SC (2016 Infiniti QX50)

Anonymous, TX (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"Lots of decent features and comforts for the price paid"

M M., FL (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"Compare to Audi, Acura, BMW the features and performance are either the same or better for a lot less money."

Anonymous, AB (2016 Infiniti QX50)

"Due to bad gas mileage it ruins the satisfaction level. Also no automatic lift or close for the back door. My rav 4 had auto back door open and close."
