Road Test

This iteration of the Patriot got fit and finish and noise suppression tweaks, but remained an also-ran. While compactness and good fuel economy are pluses, its tight quarters, noisy engine, so-so handling and compromised outward visibility detract from the driving experience to drag down the Patriot's overall score.
