Interiors are mostly well-finished; the engines are smooth and fairly powerful; and hybrid models are very fuel efficient. New models have a sportier character, sometimes at odds with the legacy Lexus virtues of luxury. Performance varies in our road tests. Some cars, like the IS and LS sedans, disappoint.
