Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

What Owners Say

Other/unsure

""An icon that appears on my dashboard, according to auto repair mechanics, could be a result of a problem with the airbags. The estimated cost to repair this will be $3,200. My car is only 8 years old.""

Anonymous, CA (2016 Lexus ES 350 3.5-L V6)

"Water -Im- bearings"

Anonymous, MD (2016 Lexus ES 350 3.5-L V6)

What Owners Say

12V battery

"Our car was in a below ground parking garage when it wouldn't start. Tow trucks were too tall to enter the garage. Tesla Service was not open. Thankfully a AAA tech knew about the 12v battery that needed to be changed to open the car doors and start the car. Tesla doesn't tell you about that."

Anonymous, (2016 Lexus ES 350 3.5-L V6)
Interior lights

"Interior/dome and reading lights do not work. The shop (independent) said that the whole dome assembly needs to be replaced and it is a little over $1000.00. I have not replaced it yet. Hoping to catch a used on. Not handy having no lights when you get in or out at night."

Anonymous, AR (2016 Lexus ES 350 3.5-L V6)

Drive System

Driveshaft or axle, CV joint, differential, transfer case, four-wheel-drive/all-wheel-drive components, driveline vibration, electrical failure, traction control, electronic stability control.

What Owners Say

Other driveline problem

"Axle boots were leaking and had to be replaced."

Anonymous, CA (2016 Lexus ES 350 3.5-L V6)

Noises/Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

What Owners Say

Air or water leaks

""Water in the passenger side floorboard after rain. No signs of where the water is coming from on headliner, or column posts. Dealer charged me $99 to say that it was leaves and acorns in my windshield wiper tray. (they didn't clean it out). The independent shop cleaned out the sunroof drains and replaced the seal on the front passenger door. (cost about $1000) Next big rain there is a 1/4 inch of water in the rear passenger floorboard.""

Anonymous, AR (2016 Lexus ES 350 3.5-L V6)

In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

What Owners Say

Phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth)

"When using the navigation map I do not need a phone call or text to override the map. I am depending on the map and the other can wait. I look at the map and it is not there and I have to reject the incoming calls. Could cause someone to miss their destination or cause an accident bringing the map back up on the screen."

Anonymous, TX (2016 Lexus ES 350 3.5-L V6)

Body Hardware

Windows, locks and latches, doors or sliding doors, tailgate, trunk or hatch, mirrors, seat controls (power or manual), seat belts, sunroof, convertible top, glass defect.

What Owners Say

Other body problem

"The front fenders design when attached to the other body of the auto is very poorly thought out. It is just a clip or little screw hold and the slightest bump pulls the attachment loose. The fenders are not securely attached to the rest of the front body of the auto and are continually loose and pulled apart from the rest of the body. Poor design."
