Lexus HS Hybrid

EPA MPG: 35 mpg

Road Test

Think of the HS hybrid as a quieter, quicker, and more luxurious Toyota Prius. It's derived from a compact sedan sold elsewhere as the Toyota Avensis. The HS's 31 mpg overall is excellent, but falls short of key competitors. Though pleasant overall, the HS doesn't have the refinement, quietness and ride comfort we've come to associate with the Lexus brand. The cabin is narrow, and handling is unexciting. The HS was discontinued after the 2012 model year.
