The Lincoln MKS, flagship sedan of Ford's luxury division, is outdated and outclassed. Further, various updates over the years haven't really helped the car. The Lincoln has plenty of luxury features, but they can't cover up fundamental flaws, including a cramped driving position and cave-like visibility. Handling is ungainly, the ride is neither isolating enough nor adequately composed, and the powerful engine is coarse.

Overall Owner Satisfaction

Consumer Reports’ Annual Owner Satisfaction Survey can improve the chances of finding a compatible car match. How? Our survey data reveals whether, all things considered, owners would buy the same car again. The answer to that question is what determines our owner-satisfaction rating, which is a powerful piece of intel because it predicts how well a particular model will satisfy other owners.

Includes acceleration and handling

What Owners Say

"acceleration and braking are good. handles good"

Anonymous, NY (2013 Lincoln MKS)

"For a car of its size and weight it handles superbly. With the suspension set in sport mode I can easily keep up with or pass any comparable vehicle in any canyon. With AWD and the large 3.5L Ecoboost engine acceleration is very strong. No slowing for hills of any size, only wishing slower cars would get out of the way. LOL"

LEE C., UT (2013 Lincoln MKS)

"Very fast"

PATTI M., TX (2013 Lincoln MKS)

"Very comfortable. Excellent on long drives."

LOUIS P., PA (2013 Lincoln MKS)

"Strong acceleration with turbo V6, handling is adjustable including steering feel but sport setting doesn't make suspension stiff enough for what I would consider sport handling."

Anonymous, CA (2013 Lincoln MKS)

"There is some great technology such as the lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, and the seating amenities however the vehicle is underpowered, and leaks during rain storms. This not the Lincoln of years ago!"

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"The seats are just the right size for us The flexibility of the position is great and the ride is quite"

WINIFRED W., VA (2013 Lincoln MKS)

"We wanted a comfortable smooth ridding car like the town Car and Grand Marquis, but this is more like a sports car that is rough and abrupt. The low profile tires lead to a lot of the rough feel. It really scoot!"

DAVID O., TX (2013 Lincoln MKS)

"The seats are fabulous! Extremely comfortable and with heating, A/C, massage and nearly infinite adjustments and three memories it is easy to find that sweet spot for multiple drivers or multiple sweet spots for a single driver. The heated steering wheel is great also. Climate control is excellent for cooling or heating. I love the remote start, rain sensing wipers and the host of safety features. My MKS has all options offered for 2013. I love the blind spot monitoring, the backup camera with r"

LEE C., UT (2013 Lincoln MKS)

"I operate the climate control system on manual all the time as the blower speed is generally inadequate and inappropriate for the temperature conditions in the car. The dealer service tries to explain it away and say that it is operating normally. The steering wheel controls give me much better comfort that leaving it on automatic."

Anonymous, FL (2013 Lincoln MKS)

"Have a bad back and seats are extremely comfortable - more so than any chair we own."

GEORGE G., FL (2013 Lincoln MKS)

"Auto control for AC failed. Had to wait 2 weeks for dealer to obtain critical parts. During first 3 months of ownership ignition had sudden failure, sometimes at highway speeds. Dealer repaired each time after being towed. ......finally after replacement of master control module, no further problems."

FRANK F., FL (2013 Lincoln MKS)

How it looks inside and out

What Owners Say

"The design of the interior lighting is very poor. The dashboard is a combination of light and not-so-light brightness that I must adjust frequently depending on the ambient conditions in order to fully be able to read it. Lights in the foot wells keep coming on at night and are distracting - no matter which color I choose. I turn them off and sometime soon they will be back on again. I don't think that the dealer believes me when I tell them about it. When exiting the car at night, the foot"
