    2013-2016

    2013 Model Redesign Year
The MKS feels out of step with the automaker's more impressive, recent models. This large, Ford Taurus-based sedan is powered by a choice of thrashy, unrefined 3.7-liter V6 or a potent 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. For its size, the cabin feels decidedly cave-like, exaggerated by the limited outward visibility. The ride-something a luxury car should be good at-is neither isolating enough nor adequately composed. The infotainment system makes a notable update to Sync 3 for 2016. Despite the trunk's size, a small opening limits its usefulness.
The outdated and outclassed MKS was replaced by the stylish, all-new Continental in 2017.

    2009-2012

    2009 Model Redesign Year
This sedan debuted in 2009, with a 3.7-liter V6 that provides good power but isn't particularly refined. In lieu of a V8, a turbocharged V6 is available, as is all-wheel-drive. The ride is comfortable, but not always settled. Handling is secure, but lacks agility and none of the three suspension settings are ideal. The interior is roomy, but the driving position and footwell are narrow. Despite nice interior materials, details come up short.
A short opening limits the usefulness of the otherwise huge trunk, and a high rear deck restricts rear visibility. More recent models gained the MyLincoln Touch infotainment system, which is convoluted and frustrating to use.
