Mercedes-Benz G-Class

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a military-spec inspired SUV that's distinguished by its square-shaped body. New for 2025, a 443-hp turbo six-cylinder engine replaces the burly 416-hp twin-turbo V8 that powered the base model G550. There's still a potent V8 in the AMG G63 version, which also gets a new 48-volt mild hybrid system. A nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard, and a range of off-road biased gear ratios and locking differentials are available. Other updates for 2025 is a new all-electric G580 with 579 hp. The G-Class's independent suspension improves ride and handling to nearly civilized levels.
