Road Test

The Clubman is a longer version of the regular Mini, with a larger backseat and more cargo space, but it seats just four. It has a small door on the passenger side of the car that opens rearward, easing rear-seat access. The rear doors are hinged on the sides and open like a gate, but they hamper rear visibility. Otherwise it feels and drives just like the regular, fun-to-drive Mini. Fuel economy is excellent, ranging from 29 to 33 mpg depending on the version. A high-horsepower JCW version is also offered.
