Nissan Murano 2003 4-door SUV

The new-for-2003 Murano is one of the highest-scoring SUVs we've tested. Its refined and powerful 3.5-liter V6 is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), delivering strong performance and respectable fuel economy. Routine handling is responsive and the Murano posted a relatively high speed in our avoidance maneuver with optional stability control. The trade-off is a stiff ride. The front seats are fairly comfortable and the interior is stylishly dressed, but the trim doesn't provide the rich feel we expect in this price class. Although access is easy and the seating is roomy, cargo space is limited.
