The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2024 Nissan Rogue owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.

In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

What Owners Say

Android Auto

"Problems started immediately after purchasing. Android Auto won't always connect. Maps get stuck in one location and won't move. Radio will not function at times. Screed goes blank."

Anonymous A., IN (2024 Nissan Rogue Platinum 1.5-L 3 Cyl turbo)

"often does not connect"

Anonymous, IL (2024 Nissan Rogue Platinum 1.5-L 3 Cyl turbo)
Display screen freezes up

""About once every 20 times I started the car, the display screen failed to boot up. I noticed it when I first bought the car. On some occasions, although it booted up, it occasionally froze. I also had problems with the audio on the radio. My dealer reported the issues to Nissan Headquarters and a computer technician was assigned to my case. It took 6 months, but they eventually provided my dealer with a software update, and I no longer have the problem. It boots up perfectly every time now. However, I occasionally still have problems with the audio on the radio. A simple reboot of the display panel, using the technique I found in an old Consumer Reports article on how to reboot manually, works every time. I have not reported the current audit issues to my dealer. It's not that big of a deal.""

Anonymous, CT (2024 Nissan Rogue Platinum 1.5-L 3 Cyl turbo)
Display screen goes blank

"Intermittent issues betw4en the steering wheel controls and info screen"

Anonymous, ON (2024 Nissan Rogue Platinum 1.5-L 3 Cyl turbo)
Hardware replacement

"They had to replace the infotainment display screen after only 6 months as several part of the screen pixelated and looked different than the rest of the screen. Also, android auto doesn't work well and the dash data (Driving directions) doesn't calibrate to the heads up display and screen sometimes goes blank. Also oil appears to be leaking after only 4 months"

Anonymous, IL (2024 Nissan Rogue Platinum 1.5-L 3 Cyl turbo)
In-dash navigation system (GPS)

"Location gets stuck in one location and won't move."

Anonymous A., IN (2024 Nissan Rogue Platinum 1.5-L 3 Cyl turbo)
Radio

""sometimes the volume on the radio does not work properly. The sound will not adjust up or down, the sound will not come on or it only plays out of one speaker. It usually takes turning the car off and restarting the car at least 3 times.""

Anonymous, KY (2024 Nissan Rogue Platinum 1.5-L 3 Cyl turbo)

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
Feb 11, 2026
Engine failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. A bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing hot oil to be discharged, increasing the risk of an engine fire.
Summary:
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Rogue vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. Increased temperatures can break down the engine oil, which may cause the engine bearings to seize and become damaged, leading to engine failure.
What should you do:
Dealers will reprogram the engine control module (ECM) software, inspect for diagnostic trouble codes, and test drive the vehicle, free of charge. The dealer may also inspect the oil pan for metal debris, and replace the engine if necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner letters are expected to be mailed March 27, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 800-647-7261. Nissan's numbers for this recall are R25E2 and R25E3. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 25V437.
