An improper air bag deployment can increase the risk of injury during a crash. In addition, an improperly secured air bag may project loose components into the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury.
Summary:
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Macan 4 Electric vehicles. The front seat air bags may be improperly secured to the backrest frame, which can prevent the air bags from deploying properly.
What should you do:
Dealers will inspect and repair the backrest frame screws as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on September 26, 2025. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is ASA7.
