2012 Subaru Impreza Owner Satisfaction - Consumer Reports
A comfortable ride, responsive handling, good visibility, simple controls, and a relatively spacious rear seat all combine to make the Impreza easy to live with. The hatchback's cargo versatility gives it an edge in practicality over the sedan version. Sport models come with snazzy wheels and a bit more equipment than more basic Imprezas.

What Owners Say

"same as Crosstrek"

Anonymous, CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Slightly under powered, but overall a satisfactory car."

A M., PA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Since I live in a snowy area during the winter, I really appreciate the 4-wheel drive combined with a decent mileage capability"

Anonymous, OH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"My wife is this car's primary driver. She selected her first auto transmission in overc30 years, the CVT option. Both of us find it lurches (less controllable by foot input) at starts, and he found that a special challenge in stop-and-go commuter driving."

Anonymous, MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"A great handling vehicle and accelerates much better than I expected."

R M., NC (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The four wheel drive system is terrific for our winter conditions"

DAVID B., ON (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Acceleration is very good and steering is precise."

MILLIE M., OH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Love the 4 wheel drive and how the car handles in the rain. (Have not driven it in snow yet.)"

BRENDA P., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"acceleration is great"

Anonymous, NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"I feel extremely safe in this car. It seems to hug the road in rain or snow and feels like a sports car."

JOHN M., MI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The acceleration is lacking and has a hard time climbing mountain roads."

BRIAN C., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"This is a great car. I handles exceptionally on the road, especially in snowy weather conditions of Wyoming. I enjoy driving this care."

MICHAEL P., WY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Poor acceleration; has red dash lights, do not like them."

JAMES R., MD (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Acceleration seriously compromised by lag in CVT response. Needs tighter steering response from center. Otherwise handles extremely well."

RICK R., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"It's a little gutless going up hills. Maybe just in the manual transmission (or maybe I don't know how to drive it right!)"

PATRICIA L., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"At about 30 mph the car becomes a dog to drive. If you need to accelerate you need to just about floor the gas pedal to get any response. Very poor driving experience. Will be replacing car soon."

Anonymous, WI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Acceleration is peppy enough. The all wheel drive system is not like traditional Subarus, more like common front-wheel drive based AWD cars, and it shows in the handling. I am used to more of a balanced feel in Subarus (This is my seventh)"

JON A., MI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The CVT ( transmission ) tends to accelerate sluggishly on hills while holding the rpm in the 3000 to 4000 range. It feels like the CVT could use the power more efficiently on acceleration by changing drive ratios more quickly."

DAVE H., OH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Thought CVT would be smoother and more responsive, not as agile as Honda Civic"

WILLIAM S., MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Acceleration feels bogged down. Shifter a bit notchy. Clutch engagement vague. Handling is very stable and fun."

Anonymous, TX (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Automatic Transmission gives great power and smooth shifting"

REMOVE L., VT (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Low end torque from the 2 L engine is much worse than the 1997 Impreza I had before this car. It is much more difficult to start out smoothly with the manual transmission that I have."

JOHN T., PA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"I just don't always feel that the car grips the road as firmly as I'd like, though the dealer tells me there's absolutely nothing wrong with the vehicle. I slow more than I might on some bends and turns because of this feeling."

Anonymous, NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Sluggish and noisy acceleration. Harsh engine noise even louder in winter. MPG isn't great considering this is a small underpowered hatch. Handling is above average. Braking is mushy, not confidence inspiring."

Francis P., MN (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"I realize the Impreza is an inexpensive car and I believe it is a good value, but the CVT makes it drive like you are operating an appliance. I would probably consider purchasing it again, but only if they offered a manual transmission on this trim level."

Anonymous, NV (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"very fun to drive."

Anonymous, NH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Handling is awesome!"

Anonymous, OR (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Excellent in bad weather."

Anonymous, RI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"We are very happy with the driving and handling. The engine is quite noisy, seems more so now than when we first bought it."

Anonymous, OH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Just fun to drive."

Carol F., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"It always feels sure footed in corners and stable on the road. Acceleration could be a little better but this car inspires confidence when you are behind the wheel."

Patricia R., VA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Very good handling, responsive and secure."

Anonymous, CO (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"All wheel drive"

Anonymous, NH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"I bought the Impreza (my first Subaru) because of a sometimes snowy commute. The difference in sure-footedness is very noticeable compared to the front wheel drive vehicle I had before."

Gary B., CO (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Handles rural roads and snow with confidence!"

Kenneth K., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Needs more HP."

D K., CT (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Nice ride and gppd handling"

Anonymous, MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The acceleration is just okay, but it is very sporty and nimble in its handling."

Robert S., TX (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"This car is simply great to drive. It reminds me why driving is fun. It accelerates dependably, handles really well, and sticks to the road like a cat on Velcro. The all-wheel drive makes it possible to drive in horrible winter conditions. I always feel very safe in this car."

Anonymous, MT (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"great"

Anonymous, NJ (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"I commute 40 miles to work in all sorts of weather. The Subaru, along with good tires, goes easily no matter what. I've driven by all sorts of other cars that are stuck in the snow or have spun out...and I have had no problem."

Anonymous, RI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Handling is superb in turning corners, etc."

Carla O., VA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"It handles very well and has good acceleration when needed."

Anonymous, MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"CR faulted the car in 2012 because of engine breaking when on cruise control because of the crt???? Transmission when going down hills. A great feature in my opinion."

C O., ON (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"the all wheel dive keeps me safe in bad weather conditions"

Dale F., OH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The handling and ride is still very good after 102,000 miles. The acceleration and low end torque is terrible, but I see this as a trade off for good fuel economy."

Tim S., UT (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"handles well around corners."

Vitus C., MD (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The CVT is definitely a rubber band until you hit 30-35."

James D., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Car handles well, as long as you are not trying to be a nascar driver. Staying within speed limits is key."

Anonymous, CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Exceptionally quick acceleration and nimble handling."

R M., NC (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Smooth and responsive CVT. Comfortable for a small car. Lots of wind noise."

Anonymous, VA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The acceleration is borderline dangerous."

Anonymous, VA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Sadly underpowered makes passing and accelerating agony and barely safe. Handling is superb in all conditions."

David S., ON (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Very solid car, nice to drive with good ride and handling Also very comfortable and ideallynsuzed"

Anonymous, MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"This is a small car, so handling is tight, and somewhat sporty. Acceleration is OK for its class, but the CVT's long-term reliability worries me."

Stephen W., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The car is under-powered, but I love the sureness of the all-wheel drive."

Paul C., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"Headrest pushes head forward."

ANNE P., NM (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Too low for getting in and out and for large amount of snow in my area"

Anonymous, VA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The AC could be a bit more powerful. The car is very noisy inside at high speeds."

CHARLES G., MD (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"AC seems to not get very cold either when accelerating a lot (such as going up hill) or in really hot weather, I'm not sure which (both?) but those were the circumstances when it was noticed. The ride is very noisy in the Impreza."

PATRICIA L., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"I'm tall with very long legs and I fit very comfortably in both the front and back seats of my car. It's extremely quiet and comfortable."

JOHN M., MI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Car is very noisey especially on the freeway."

BRENDA P., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats are great even on long trips and the seat heaters are great in the winter. Climate controls work as advertised...I really like being able to "dial in" a temperature and have the vehicle maintain it. It was rather noisy when we bought it but when we recently replaced the tires with Michelin's the noise level was reduced DRAMATICALLY."

DEAN S., MO (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Interior roominess is one reason I chose this car -relative to the vehicle's size, it's impressively roomy, and rear seats as well as front are very comfortable."

Anonymous, NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Fairly noisy on the highway, need to turn up radio to hear. Otherwise fine."

ANDREA G., MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The vehicle is noisy inside compared to other vehicles I have owned."

ROBIN S., NH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Road noise is the only issue with the car, but we knew that when we bought it. Otherwise very satisfied with the car."

Anonymous, OH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The noise level, both wind noise and road noise is loud compared to other vehicles. Ride comfort and driving dynamics is planted and secure. Seats are comfortable but could use some support."

Anonymous, CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats are uncomfortable."

MICHAEL B., FL (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The cargo area is smaller than my 1997 Impreza. This did increase the rear seat room, which I rarely use for passengers."

JOHN T., PA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The noise inside at highway speeds is much more than I like"

BETSY W., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The driver seat is a bit uncomfortable at the rear of seat cushion -- can sometimes feel the metal bar."

Anonymous, WA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The automatic climate control system is great! I set the desired temperature and forget it!."

Anonymous, GA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The car, as consumers predicted is very noisy - the ride, rattling parts, wind. My heated passenger seat has never worked properly, despite my bringing it in to the dealer. Oil consumption is remarkable."

Anonymous, NJ (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"This is my husband's car and compared to the Accord, I find the passenger seat very uncomfortable (too low) and just not as comfortable to ride in."

BARBARA L., NJ (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The windshield often fogs up on the inside. The defogger function does not really work"

Anonymous, CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"It rides comfortably but as I am older it feels to low to the ground."

BONNIE P., AK (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Seat cushion foam split allowing springs to come up to occupant. No very comfortable. Subaru tried to fix but problem persists. Dealer wanted $900.00 for part plus installation. Not going to happen."

Anonymous, WI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Sunroof failed after about 1yr, Subaru authorized service center/dealership unable to fix within a week."

ALEX B., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The drivers seat has started to show wear and a spring is starting to press through."

DENNIS D., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats are too low. Hard to adjust properly. Uncomfortable for drives over 30 minutes."

Anonymous, PA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The front seat is adjusted way too low--feels like I'm sitting in a bucket. The other Subaru we own, which is virtually the identical model, has a front seat that feels just fine. What's the difference? Don't know."

E B., OR (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Very noisy ride, otherwise good."

Anonymous, NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"the noise level inside is terrible, and the gas mileage is not what the sticker said teh bluetooth is horrible and the engine burns oil and the transmission seems like it slips a lot I would not buy this again"

Anonymous, CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The seats are too firm. The ride is very sporty and stiff. Like most subarus, it is loud. The fabric on the seats is not durable and started deteriorating after 6 months of normal use."

Anonymous, MD (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Road noise. Whining CVT."

Michael V., MI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Heated seats are great. The road noise is loud in the little car"

Anonymous, LA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"burns oil ! The loudest car that I have experienced. On the worn out concrete freeways on I -5 between Portland OR and Olympia , WA. you can go deaf in this car. I would not buy another Subaru as punishment to this company to release a re designed Impreza in 2012 that has poor insulation and burns a quart of oil every 6 to 8 months."

Anonymous, WA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Road noise"

Anonymous, NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Fun to drive with comfortable seating"

Carol F., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"For some reason, the upholstery has worn out on the seatback where I lean back, on the outside edge--maybe where I slide across the seat while I'm sitting down? There's a big hole exposing the foam there now. My spouse's 2012 Subaru Impreza has the exact same problem. And the seat is adjusted so low in the seatpan it feels as if I'm sitting in a bucket."

E B., OR (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats are comfortable and the ride is sporty. Absolutely fun to drive. A bit on the noisy side when accelerating."

David C., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats are comfortable but the ride is noisy. New, higher quality tires did not decrease the noise much."

Anonymous, WA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"noise"

Erik W., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Cabin is noisy"

Anonymous, MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"noisy cabin, seats are very comfortable, air leaks in windows"

Joseph M., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The car is comfortable. Some road noise, but not more than expected given the size and price point. We've driven it cross country, OH to CA and OH to FL."

Anonymous, OH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Somewhat noisy ride."

Robin S., NH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats are comfortable. Interior noise level is quite a bit louder than other vehicles I've owned. Ride feels very solid, very trustworthy."

Mary L., WI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"There have been s lot of steaks that were only resolved by dealer putting in missing hardware in the seats."

Dorsey G., WA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Excellent vehicle, audio system Only ok Air conditioner weak"

Anonymous, MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Noisy. Sears lack lumbar."

Anonymous, CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"For an inexpensive compact car, the seats and ride are very comfortable. As with most cars in this class, the road noise, especially at highway speed, can be annoying. But you get what you pay for."

Anonymous, VT (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Driver's seat has no lumbar control. Highway/road noise is quite loud."

Anonymous, NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"the seats offer great support for long drives and the car rides and handles well for a car in this price range"

Dale F., OH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats and ride are good but road noise is quite noticeable and annoying."

Carla O., VA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Interior is too small for two adults for a long trip. Few areas to store items."

Anonymous, NJ (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Firm, but comfortable seats. There is some road noise, but it's tolerable. Ride is good for an economy car."

Anonymous, CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The road and wind noise level is a bit more than the Outback but tolerable. The seats are fine but on our model only have manual adjustments. The ride is very good and it's sporty to drive. The one shortcoming is the car is very low to the ground and that makes getting out a bit difficult."

Robert S., TX (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Vehicle is comfortable but quite noisy."

Anonymous, MN (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The seats have such great support that when I have back trouble, I feel better in the car than anywhere else. The ride feels very direct and connected to the road which I like. There is a fair amount of road noise -- I don't mind it, but some people might."

Anonymous, MT (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"A very noisy car. The engine drones and tire noises from the rear are very loud, especially at highway speeds."

James D., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Noisy on highway, seats could be more comfortable for long trips."

Anonymous, MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

Brenda P., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The car is very loud inside from engine and road noise and the rear suspension squeaks."

What Owners Say

"Good mileage, one of the safest cars to drive, comfortable, good pickup when necessary."

E B., OR (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"excellent ride in snow or icy road"

MARC L., QC (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Good value for the quality of the car vs what I paid. I love Subarus in general but wish it had more power."

FUJIMOTO R., HI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Great permanence and reliability for the price"

WILLIAM K., NJ (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"This vehicle consumed oil from beginning at 1 litre / 8000km. Currently it consumes 2 litres of oil every 8000km. Previously a Honda owner of new vehicles I never needed to ad oil between oil changes."

BILL O., SK (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"This is our winter car. It handles well and is truly fun to drive. It has more passenger space than our much larger 2008 Outback did. We live in a snow belt and have never needed snow tires. It is extremely reliable. This is our 22nd Subaru since our first one in 1977, and we expect to add number 23 in 2018."

C A., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Handles well, tight to road, feels good"

EDWARD H., NJ (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Purchased used at a very competitive price. Car does what it is supposed to do very competently. Surprising amount of storage space."

Anonymous, CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"This is a relatively inexpensive car for the room inside, the quickness of the vehicle, and very good highway mileage. Also, having 4-wheel drive on a car this inexpensive is unheard of."

CARLA O., VA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Got a fully loaded vehicle, at a great price, plus low dealer financing."

STEPHEN W., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"excessive oil use after 30000 miles replaced transmission after 124000 miles"

Anonymous, MD (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"One of the stats that influenced my decision to buy this car was est MPG, which was in the high 30s. To date, regardless of driving techniques, I've yet to break the 30 MPG barrier. Rather disappointing."

CRAIG W., MI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"My car has never required repairs. And maintenance is inexpensive. The Subaru 2012 represents a great value!"

BRADLEY G., VA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Very great car for the price."

Anonymous, NH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"This is our winter car that we depend on to get us to and from our remote home. It has excellent handling and comfortable seats. The roof rails are perfect for transporting my kayak from May to September. It gets very good mileage and we like the compact size."

C A., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"A bargin for a well-engineered and quality product. This is a major selling point for buying this car."

Anonymous, OH (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"I thought we got a lot for what we paid. Heated seats, heated mirrors nice extras at the price point."

Anonymous, CT (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Amazing value, great mileage, great all wheel drive"

Paul R., MD (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Unhappy the car burns excessive engine oil since brand new. 3 quarts burn between 4000 mile oil changes. Subaru would not help. They shockingly tell me that much oil burn is within spec. I've owned 25 brand new cars in my life and this is the only one that burned oil like this. I'll never buy another Subaru."

Francis P., MN (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Awesome small car. I average 34 MPG in mixed driving. The AWD and traction control help this car feel like it is glued to the road. It is fun to drive. With the hatchback, I can carry a surprising amount of cargo. The rear seats are surprisingly roomy, with ample legroom for tall passengers."

Albert S., PA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The hatchback design is good, but it is not a value if you are avoiding using this car. It is so noisy that we are taking the Malibu more often and forget about taking a long trip in the Subaru. Also it was recalled for electrical problems. You would plug in your iPod and the air bag would turn off."

Anonymous, WA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Despite a major repair completed under warranty, this vehicle has served well, provides good service for its costs, and is a pleasure to drive."

Alan H., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Great mileage. I expect it will go over 200K"

Barbara L., NJ (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"comfortable small car, brisk handling but moderate acceleration. Good cargo capacity. Disappointing gas economy. EPA rates it at 36mpg- in five years we have never broken 30 at a constant 70mph"

Anonymous, CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"The car runs well, and its styling still seems up to date. It is a good basic car and I like the all wheel drive."

T I., NJ (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"It is a great value for an all wheel drive sedan, especially considering the MPG."

Anonymous, VT (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"By far the least expensive all wheel drive vehicle. Handling in all conditions is excellent. Fit and finish, comfort, features are all very good. Love this car"

Keith H., WA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Great handling and good fuel mileage for an all wheel drive vehicle. Comfortable ride."

Donald M., MI (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"High end options don't add enough value"

William S., MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Good value but not as good as a Corolla."

Anonymous, CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

Anonymous, MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Great value for money with AWD and handling overall. Very roomy with good use of space."

David S., ON (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"This car has been and continues to be a car which is responsive and easy to handle. There have bee no exceptional costs, just routine maintenance. Maintains the warranty is costly after 6 years."

Anonymous, PA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Subaru usually provide a good value for the money."

Anonymous, PA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"It was model year end, and this Limited (with Leather, Sunroof, etc) was probably at the top end of Subaru's price. So we got a great deal."

Stephen W., CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"I chose the Subaru Impreza for its all-wheel drive at a reasonable cost, combined with relatively high mileage for an all wheel drive vehicle. Generally, it has not disappointed in those areas. However, I have been disappointed with the rate at which it burns oil and the more-than-I'm-used-to frequency of need for low-level repairs/replacements (i.e. burnt out head/tail lights, brake pads, exhaust.)"

Anonymous, MA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"3 out of 4 power door locks broke within first 5 years. Rattle/noise from dash. Dealer service a complete ripoff. Audio system complete garage with awe full sound quality. Car drives well but other factors will prevent me from buying a Subaru again."

Michael M., WA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"at 35000 miles we burned enough oil every 2000 miles that the oil warring lit up Subaru put in a new short block under warranty, at 82,000 miles the engine blew up! Bastards would not stand behind the vehicle. We had to rebuild the engine coat $5,000."

Anonymous, VT (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Most reliable car that I've ever owned. No issues and still on the original brakes at 123K miles."

Anonymous, VA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"poor engine/transmission performance, burns oil bad gas mileage great handling car poor insulation loud wind noise bad audio and smart phone connection"

Anonymous, CA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"My model was one with an oil consumption issue. There was a class action lawsuit regarding this. When I had the oil consumption test completed, the level of oil consumption did not meet the settlement standards. Regardless I still have to add 1 qt every 4500 miles."

Anonymous, NJ (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Vehicle is now 6 years old with no service issues except factory recommended maintenance. Service expense for annual oil changes is minimal. Resale/trade-in value looks to be very good."

Anonymous, PA (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"A favorite car to drive the hatchback model, room to seat and to pack with gear. looks stylish and also has get up and go handling"

What Owners Say

"This car is 4 years old and still looks great."

R M., NC (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Very thin sheet metal on the car. Doesn't take much (acorn or tiny hail) to leave a big ding in the roof or the hood :-("

MARC M., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"Very low to the ground. At the time we bought it, the Crosstrek was not available. If we were buying now, we would go for that before the Impreza."

ALEXANDER M., NY (2012 Subaru Impreza)

"I don't like the "bump" between the rear-view window and the trunk door because it collects too much dirt, but other than that the car is "cute" and I get that comment sometimes from people."
