2015 Subaru Impreza Owner Satisfaction - Consumer Reports
A comfortable ride, responsive handling, good visibility, simple controls, and a relatively spacious rear seat all combine to make the Impreza easy to live with. The hatchback's cargo versatility gives it an edge in practicality over the sedan version. Sport models come with snazzy wheels and a bit more equipment than more basic Imprezas.

What Owners Say

"Peppy for a small vehicle"

A P., DE (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The ALL-wheel driving system is an absolute necessity in mixed urban / rural driving conditions, especially in winter."

Anonymous, ON (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It handles well, and it's performance in snow (with snow tires) is exceptional."

Art W., CT (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"All wheel drive is incredible. Car just hugs curves."

George S., CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"All wheel drive."

Michael F., QC (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It is adequate for a small compact car."

Bernhard K., MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"easy to handle. great turning axis, peppy"

E C., PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"SUBARU's all wheel drive is the best by far!"

Anonymous, NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I have the CVT and I believe that is the reason that the car cannot be driven smoothly, esp at low speeds and stop and go traffic. The car can be very jerky sometimes."

STEPHEN H., OR (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Engine is way to under powered and noisy. Hard acceleration is is no existent and very noisy."

Anonymous, AZ (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It is a total pleasure to drive. I prefer manual transmission."

Anonymous, ME (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Wish it was faster and handled better."

Anonymous, IL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I didn't appreciate just how much easier it was to drive in winter with awd. I live in a climate with snow Up to 5 months a year, and the difference in control in stopping and pulling Away from icy intersections and just overall control is amazing. It compensates for the decrease in gas mileage."

CHRISTIE M., MB (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It has plenty of pep. The cruise control is excellent. The car actually drives itself. While using the cruise control the car automatically maintains a safe distance between me and the vehicle ahead. It picks up speed uphill and holds back downhill in order to maintain the set speed. If traffic slows down or stops, the car does the same! All I do is steer! The car handles like a dream and hugs the road accordingly."

SHERRY L., NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"This car is competent and capable but definitely not inspiring."

JAMES E., NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Acceleration is surprisingly good. I expected much less from a "station wagon"."

MATTHEW S., WV (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It's the best-performing CVT I've experienced, but it's still a different driving experience than a traditional automatic transmission."

ROB M., CT (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Acceleration is a bit sluggish and noisy, but handles very well."

Anonymous, VA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"CVT HINDERS ACCELERATION ONTO FREEWAYS AND PASSING SITUATIONS OR GETTING OUT OF SOMEONES WAY. CAN BE A DANGER."

DONALD R., OH (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Acceleration is sluggish. Handling is great!"

Anonymous, CT (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The Subaru handles excellent. It has plenty of acceleration when needed."

MICHAEL P., CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The CV transmission is excellent. The car also feels lightweight and paired with the transmission it feels faster than it should be given the 4x4 and smallish engine."

Anonymous, AB (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Feel like car hesitates when shifting from reverse to drive. Somewhat unsettling when backing out into street."

Anonymous, OH (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Acceleration from a stop was adequate. Acceleration when already moving was weak. It seems like the engine/transmission gets up to high RPM before the car starts responding. Now I know why a CVT transmission is sometimes compared to a rubber band. I expected this when I got rid of a V6 car so I'm not too disappointed. Handling was first rate since the car has low profile tires. We've had little snow the past two winters but I was able to go up and down a snow covered mountain road and was impres"

CARL P., ID (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Great car but would go for the larger engine next time, acceleration is not what we hoped for. That said the all wheel drive is amazing in adverse weather"

Anonymous, ON (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"For small 4 cyc. this car has a lot of get up and go. Acceleration is great in highway driving and steering is quite reactive, which gets somewhat difficult to get to use to."

DANIEL A., WI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"You have to get aggressive with the gas pedal and shifting to get it to move. Use hi test gas to try and improve performance. My brother has the same car with CVT and complains about its sluggish almost dangerous lack of performance. The car handles good on dry surfaces with stock 17" tires Very good (amazing) in the ice and snow with snow tires all the way around . Not so great (dangerous) in ice and snow with factory tires."

JOHN M., RI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"basically this is my wife's car and she is satisfied with both. When I drive the car, rarely, I find the acceleration somewhat lacking, but that 's probably because I drive the accord."

DAN C., VA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"We have a Manual Transmission. When we shift from first to second gear while going up a hill, there is a definite and discernible loss of acceleration and power. There is often a need to downshift back to first gear to regain power up that hill, especially if needing to also take a turn."

ROBERT D., MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"sluggish acceleration and the car doesn't like crosswinds."

Anonymous, ON (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Impreza Premium Hatchback: Acceleration from stop is slow. Otherwise, it has pep. Ride is smooth and handles bumps well. Windows closed, it's quiet inside on both city and highway."

GREGG Y., NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"sporty handling and brakes"

JOE F., TX (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Horrible acceleration when driving with the AC on."

JOHN J., CO (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I like the feel of the AWD. It feels like gliding, as opposed to being pulled or pushed along. The acceleration is a little strong starting from a stop. Hard to start smoothly."

Anonymous, MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I have the EyeSite feature and I love the cruise control and warning features."

WENDY B., NV (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"when you shift from reverse into drive, there is an uncomfortable time lag before the gear engages. Subaru says this is normal."

C W., CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Handles great in rain and snow"

Anonymous, WI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I'm a motorcycle rider that loves taking turns with excellent handling and that what this car affords me."

ALEXA L., NM (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It's the best car I've ever owned. I previously had a 2000 Subaru Outback, and I like this much better. It has a significantly improved turning radius, gets much better mileage, and has better acceleration. It is a peppy car which handles very well and very securely, and has a very comfortable ride. I love the AWD. That was a must have. It gives me a feeling of safety on slick roads, be they rain or snow."

BETH S., MD (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"cvt is responsive, doesn't lag, fairly quiet; car takes bumps well for a small car, corners well, no body lean"

Anonymous, IL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It is a manual transmission. It does not have much power going up hill w/o downshifting to 2 nd gear which is too low for a car this size. When turning there must also be a downshift to 2nd which is nonsense for a five speed."

LAURA D., NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I love the eye-sight feature on this car. It is very accurate and works very well slowing me down if I haven't noted getting too code to the car in front of me. I like that it helps me keep in lane. I believe it has helped me avoid several fender-bender accidents."

ELISABETH P., MO (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Not a lot of power, especially in hot conditions and when the A/C is running."

Anonymous, NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The 2015 Impreza doesn't drive as well as our older early 2000's WRX, mainly due to softer suspension, softer tires and no turbo. The acceleration is glacial when getting onto highways, but on city streets its fine and very torquey."

Anonymous, CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Fun to drive. Pretty quick handling."

SUE C., WI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Poorly designed and functioning electronics"

Anonymous, CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Everything is great except it doesn't always want to go in reverse. At least once a week I struggle with backing out of the driveway. The dealer didn't think it was a problem the two times I complained about it, so I will gladly say so here. It has gotten significantly better since I bought the car, it was much more of a problem when it was new."

Anonymous, PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Handles like a more expensive car. Acceleration is adequate."

G E T., PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"excellent acceleration and very good handling"

Anonymous, ME (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The handling... allows me to "feel" the road, responsive handling. Acceleration is great, I like to shut off the AC to improve acceleration however."

Barbara P., GA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Impressive"

Anonymous, MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The CVT makes the Impreza very responsive at almost any speed. Great feature."

Anonymous, MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"When I put the car into drive or reverse, the car pauses before it responds to the gas pedal. This is disheartening when another vehicle is headed right for you and you want to get out of the way."

Anonymous, CT (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Over the past six months there has been a marked decrease in acceleration."

Paul H., NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It just handles nicely and accelerates as needed."

Anonymous, PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"feels solid on the road. Good acceleration, great braking."

John F., OH (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The car drives very nice, with lots of pick up when I need it. I get good gas milage but most of my driving is in the county, not city."

Anonymous, MI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Corners well. Good low end torque. Good for city driving"

Anonymous, AB (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Responds nicely when you need to accelerate, as long as you don't mind the noise"

Glenn-Karen N., VA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It handles beautifully. Very easy to drive."

Anonymous, MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Excellent acceleration, quick response when needed. Handles very smoothly. Driver seat should adjust to a higher setting for shorter people."

Anonymous, TN (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Acceleration is not great - worse than an older Subaru-perhaps because of a smaller engine for improved gas mileage. Handling is good (with 16" wheels added after purchase)."

Art W., CT (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"awesome acceleration when need to pass a vehicle and excellent handling on curves."

Anonymous, NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The type of automatic transmission on this vehicle has been novel for me and I really appreciate it over how previous automatic transmissions have felt."

Vladimir P., CO (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Accelerates smoothly and dependably."

Anonymous, IL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Acceleration is not particularly efficient and often sounds like the car is working extremely hard--disproportionate to how much it seems it should relative to the accelerator's position. Cruise control leaves a considerable amount to be desired. When set, it easily accelerates up to 7 or 8 miles per hour on a slight downhill."

Emily M., VA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Good off the line acceleration but then it wimps out but I expect that. Very agile and quick handling around turns."

Anonymous, ID (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I opted for the standard transmission which makes a significant positive difference in driving enjoyment and ability to use the power of the 2 liter engine."

Anonymous, NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Feels a little under powered when accelerating on freeway on ramps."

Anonymous, WA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I like the feel of the AWD. It feels that you are driving versus being pulled or pushed. Sort of a floating feeling"

Anonymous, MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Subaru has led the field in two areas. All wheel traction control and the constant velocity transmission. I commute a 22 mile route through snowy hills in the winter. This car is stable."

Harvey M., NM (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"very happy with handling, especially on winter roads."

Anonymous, ON (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Good acceleration if you need to enter flowing traffic. Best of all, very good visual in all directions, with no blockage of view."

William R., GA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"winter driving is amazing with the AWD."

Anonymous, ON (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"ACCELERATION IS VERY GOOD AND ROAD HANDLING IS EXCELLENT."

Anonymous, PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Acceleration is average for as small car, but the handling is excellent. The car holds the road very well in all weather conditions and provides confidence to the driver."

Anonymous, CT (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Getting on the freeway it accelerates very nice. When driving on winding roads the car handles with no trouble."

Anonymous, CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Handles great. Steering on highway does not keep a straight path -wanders in lane. NOT an alignment issue"

Anonymous, WI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"This cR has excellent pick up!"

Anonymous, WI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"acceleration adequate. ride and handling fine. braking good"

Anonymous, NS (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I very much appreciate the excellent acceleration when entering a busy highway, and the excellent , fast and smooth braking response on highways and at intersections the few times I have needed this recently."

P C., ON (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Cruise control especially distance choice and active control - focus on car(s) in front - to regulate speed and braking - are a real help in both highway and ciry driving."

James N., IL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

Comfort

Includes seats, climate control, noise, and ride

What Owners Say

"The seats are very comfortable, and I like the trim package. The overall ride is not as smooth as an SUV's but ok on average. My one complaint is the interior cabin road noise."

Justin B., MN (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Too much road noise."

Anonymous, ID (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Fits both us and our lifestyle perfectly."

A P., DE (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"High road noise"

Anonymous, NB (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"seats could have more adjustments"

Anonymous, WI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The car is comfortable and has a wonderfully smooth ride, but it is very very loud. Road and wind noise make it difficult to enjoy being in the car when you travel over 40-50 mph."

Anonymous, NH (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Very comfortable and very good in gas considering this is an all wheel drive. My Avg. 38 to 39"

Jose L., NJ (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Nice upright posture of seat with decent lumbar support."

Margaret T., CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Have the sport version and the seats aren't great for a guy with lower back issues."

Anonymous, IL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Noisy ride. Guess thats expected for such a little car"

Ronald G., CT (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"noisy, poor ride and stiff leather seats. poor gas mileage"

Eric B., CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"sporty seats. stable drive."

JOE F., TX (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Base model is a bit noisy on the Hwy. Wish I had bought the middle model."

DAVID K., AZ (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It's very loud when driving especially when it's raining. Rain hitting the windshield and roof makes it nearly impossible to carry on a conversation."

MATTHEW S., WV (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The left foot rest on the driver's side is too close. I am 5'10" and can not find a comfortable place to put my foot. The pedals also seem a bit "high." This can cause discomfort on longer trips."

ROSS W., NJ (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Road noise (I believe it is from the tires) is louder than I would like."

MICHAEL A., NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The vehicle is a little tight fitting for a 6 footer. Road noise is rather distracting at time. Ground clearance is a bit low."

THOMAS S., NM (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Everything is great except for the noise factor - like my old Subaru, this one is relatively noisy, particularly at highway speeds."

Anonymous, NC (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Interior storage is minimal in doors, dash and between seat console"

Anonymous, MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The seat design is awful. Although I would buy the car again despite this design flaw, I would hope that someone would use what is known about seating and the body to make them more ergonomic and comfortable."

Anonymous, MD (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I find the ride smoother than other vehicles, which I prefer over others that may have less noise. We live in an area with bumpy roads. This makes me value not feeling every bump in the road. I disagree with those that do not want to hear the engine at all. Dependable acceleration when needed."

Anonymous, WA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats are comfortable to driver and front and rear passengers. Yaay! Road noise is excessive, as predicted. Rear passengers do not have air and temperature controls - too bad. Opportunities are missed for little storage areas all over."

Anonymous, OR (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"seats not as comfortable as Outback- the rest is good!"

Anonymous, MN (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Freeway driving - cabin is noisy - difficult to carry on a conversation."

Anonymous, OR (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Base model does not have lumbar support I get out of the car after 30 min of driving and have back pain"

JOHN J., CO (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Mileage is good. Car is too small for me. It feels tight all the time. Accelleration in 4th and 5th not as good as my prior Legacy."

Anonymous, CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I would have liked power seats but they are not offered even in the 'Limited' version which I have. That plus more sound insulation and I'd have the perfect car for my needs."

Anonymous, NJ (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Tight drivers seat for a tall driver"

PAUL N., IL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The Impreza is very comfortable and has a very smooth ride for a small car. However, there is a lot of road and wind noise that makes its way into the cabin."

Anonymous, NH (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The seats are awful for trips more than about a half hour. The seat shape is great but they are like sitting on board."

Anonymous, WA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The engine noise is too loud within the vehicle; the air conditioning has to be on high and is too noisy."

Anonymous, AZ (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"As a short person who drives with the seatback close to upright, I love that the Subaru has angle-adjustable headrests. All other brands, as far as I know and have sat in, are very uncomfortable, pushing my head forward."

HOFFMAN C., NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I have the 2.0i 4-door sedan. At speeds above 40 mph, I get road noise, which I find annoying. I do not know if the tires that came on the car are the cause, I but suspect they might be."

Anonymous, FL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I am avery short person, and the seats are not very comfortable for me. Also, they are not power seats, so I can't change the position other that back or forward. They need to add a power seat, and also cloth seats. I don't like the leather, its either hot and sticky or cold and clammy"

Anonymous, MI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"the drivers seat should have more back support"

MARSHALL K., NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"lower back support is lacking"

Anonymous, PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Too noisy at highway speeds."

Anonymous, PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Very good ride for a compact. It's as good or better than the previous mid-sized car I had. The air conditioning does not seem as powerful and can bog down when idling at a traffic stop. I read about noise issues with this model but it never seemed to be objectionable unless the engine is pushed hard. Seats are good but I'd like them to have a little more side support. It's also hard to get leather seats and the side bolsters have a different material and texture."

CARL P., ID (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The seats are as hard as rocks, causing me pain on trips more than 100 miles. I had a 2010 Honda Fit before that had wonderful seats, and it's a much cheaper and lower line car. I could drive it 800 miles and be fine."

Anonymous, OH (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats are supportive on long drives. It rides very smoothly. Maybe the nicest ride of all my previous cars (Ford, Honda, Toyota, even my parents' Lexus RX350). The radio has a feature that raises and lowers the volume automatically when the car speeds up or slows down. It often lowers too much at slow speeds."

GREGG Y., NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Road noise is issue"

DONALD R., OH (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I don't think this car was designed for someone 5'1". I feel that in order to comfortably reach the pedals that I end up being too close to the steering wheel. The steering wheel is adjustable but it doesn't get close enough to the dashboard to give me adequate space between the steering wheel and my torso."

Anonymous, NJ (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The quality of the seat upholstery could be better. The wear & tear is premature , which appeared only after 21/2 years."

Anonymous, NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"noise trunk lid latch replaced once, now making the same rattling noise. I believe something about the trunk lid is breaking down the latch. dashboard squeaks in many areas while driving on moderately rough road"

Terry L., CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"driver seat quite uncomfortable"

Anonymous, UT (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Wish the car was quieter. It rides very well for a small car."

Jeffrey S., MN (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The seats are very hard and the car is very noisy. In a moderate rain, the raindrops hitting the roof and windshield are so loud, you can't hear yourself think."

Matthew S., AL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The noise transmitted into the cabin during the drive can actually be tiring. The sound system is good but it doesn’t actually diminish oe cover the road noise. My spouse who is hard of hearing and wears hearing aids has difficulty even while wearing them when we talk while driving."

Suzanne H., NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"They're comfortable."

Anonymous, IL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Enjoy ride and heated seats"

Anonymous, BC (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"back support eases stress."

Anonymous, NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats Not very supportive for long trips. Somewhat noisy at highway speeds"

Paul N., IL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I'd like the drivers seat to have more leg room. It is especially uncomfortable on long drives."

Anonymous, CO (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Subaru is a good vehicle. I consider it to be a put put car. Smooth ride, low seats, no noise."

Jo R., VA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Lower back support is excellent."

Mike S., OH (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"cabin noise a bit high. Small rattle in front speaker grill fixed by dealer. seats and seat adjustment adequate."

Anonymous, NS (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The seat is not comfortable. It doesn't have enough padding in the seat part and there isn't any back support. My old subaru had a wonderful seat and I wish that they hadn't gone to a cheaper seat."

Anonymous, MI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The seats don't adjust to fit my back."

Anonymous, NJ (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"No lumbar support, rough ride on bad roads"

Anonymous, MD (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Generally good seats but wished they has more side support. I worry that the cushioning may not hold up after a few more years since I get in and out of the car a lot."

Anonymous, ID (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The car ispretty comfortable-especially with the leather seats option. That said, there is substantial road noise that becomes increasingly noticeable within the Interior cabin. I’ve considered buying additional noise dampening material to help control it."

Anonymous, MN (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats are comfortable. Ride is smooth. There's some road noise."

Art W., CT (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats are supportive and fairly comfortable, at least up to a 3 hour trip. The noise level is acceptable, but seems to be related to tire noise dependent on the road surface."

Anonymous, CT (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Comfort is great. Wonderful lumbar support. Noise level can be a bit high in highway driving."

Anonymous, IL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Very comfortable, though really roars when you accelerate"

Glenn-Karen N., VA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The ride is as smooth as a luxury car and the driver seat is as comfortable as a Lazy Boy recliner. This makes the 2015 Subaru Impreza very relaxing to drive on long trips, so much so that I am not tired when I reach my destination."

Anonymous, WA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"handles bumps and rough roads well for small car. front seats comfortable. noise level OK, quieter than previous car"

Anonymous, IL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I am very unhappy with the road noise. I would like to know how to make the road noise better. Question. Less aggressive tires? It is the only thing that would make me look for another car"

John K., WA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The seats are quite uncomfortable (hard) on a long trip. They are fine for in-town travel. The cabin is a bit noisy. The ride itself is fine."

Anonymous, WA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Seats are a little hard. Noisy with the tires that came with the vehicle - new tires make it much quieter and improve the ride - less bumpy."

Anonymous, PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"WIIND NOISE IS EXCESSIVE"

Anonymous, PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Good: Seats are comfortable even for long trips, has a good manual range of adjustment. - Heated seats work well. Good: Ride is comfortable and compliant for a compact crossover with a high ground clearance. Bad: Power seats with two person memory settings should be standard or at least available."

Justin B., MN (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Gas mileage and comfort."

Jose L., NJ (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"We purchased the Imprezza over the Crosstrek because the Imprezza gets better gas mileage. However, a year later we purchased a Crosstrek as well, and both my wife and I prefer the Crosstrek to the Imprezza. There is very little difference, but somehow the Crosstrek just feels better to drive."

Bernhard K., MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Great little car"

B C., FL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I got this Subaru to be my work horse. It includes spending the day traveling around Queens and Nassau County N.Y. as a visiting nurse through tough winter weather and as a transporter of my paddle boards on its roof rack- weather permitting. It's very comfortable, gets decent milage for city driving, easy to park and is a very rare metallic green hatchback. Worth every penny and would definitely buy again."

ERIC B., CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"A major selling point was all of the features that were included for a base price. We felt that it was a very good value for this as well as for all of the safety features."

PAMELA L., AB (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I LEASE the Sibaru Impreza. This is a top value car. It is comfortable and operates really well. The one drawback I have encountered is that the Owner's Manual does NOT tell me how to control the dashboard. I have not found the time to find out what I am doing wrong. I could not more highly recommend a car!"

"like what i got"

JOSHUA W., PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"What can I say, all wheel drive, traction control, backup camera and good safety ratings and reliability in one package for a price. Twice (we have two subarus), the Subaru dealer gave us a price that was slightly over invoice and we had never seen that done at other car dealers."

Anonymous, CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I had to buy a car because my other was totaled, the dealer knew it and charged top dollar."

Anonymous, PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I wanted Eye Sight collision avoidance system but was forced to buy model with sunroof and heated seats which have no value to me."

Anonymous, WA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It is highly rated for safety, which is the main reason I chose it to drive my family around. I got the base model because its just a car, and it gets me from A to B with no issue, and it has many features you normally have to pay extra for, like bluetooth and rear view camera."

Anonymous, AB (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I paid a very good price for my Subaru. The only thing I discovered was when my front windshield had to be replaced it cost me $500 out of pocket and the insurance company paid the other 800."

Anonymous, CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"AWD, size, fuel mileage, ride comfort, design."

Robert K., OR (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Voice commands and phone quality leave much to be desired"

Judith N., NY (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"This hatchback functions as our utility vehicle - it is an excellent commuter car and general hauler of bulky items. It has been exceptionally reliable, gets very good gas mileage, and in the rare occasion of icy/snowy roads here has provided safe transportation in those difficult road conditions."

Brian S., LA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I havent had any mechanical problems with this car, and the service department is super"

Rich W., MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I know when I buy a Subaru that I am getting a vehicle that will not have major safety issues/recalls and that will probably last forever."

Anonymous, WI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"It was a reasonable purchase as a "city" car, that can be parked in small spaces. Mileage is much better than our previous and older vehicle."

W H., CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Impressed that I was able to get a full suite of safety systems (eye sight) in a 2015 smallish reasonably priced car, as well as the reliability and utility of the car."

Barry W., NS (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"No whistles and bells. Basic vehicle. Reliable, safe."

Jo R., VA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Good acceleration, ease of handling, plenty of space in the cargo area. Occasional hesitation in acceleration when starting out."

Anonymous, TN (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Very good value for the money. Would buy another Subaru"

Paul N., IL (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"This model is noisy and acceleration pathetic"

Anonymous, AZ (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"As a member of IMBA, I am eligible for Subaru VIP pricing. This has made my Subaru's much more affordable than otherwise and is one of the reasons I choose Subaru when looking for a new car."

Anonymous, MI (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"There are few AWD vehicles in this price range. The MPG is excellent on top of the price point being low for AWD. Highly recommend it for living in a place prone to snow."

Vladimir P., CO (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Several problems with the transmission."

Anonymous, NV (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Everything is good except the battery died while in warranty"

Styling

How it looks inside and out

What Owners Say

"1.front bumper is too low, scrapes many curbs during parking 2. Some pieces of trim on the dashboard are highly reflective and when the sun reflects off them during driving, it is unpleasant and a safety issue. There should never be highly reflective surfaces mounted on the dashboard."

TERRY L., CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"The low front end clearance and design does not clear shopping mall barriers and is prone to damage"

Anonymous, MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I am disappointed that I got a hatchback."

SALLY R., KS (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"I bought the Impreza Sport because it came with the best options. The Impreza is low to the ground to begin with. The Impreza Sport is only available with additional lower trim that brings it even closer to the ground. I've had innumerable scrapes and dings on the lower part of the car. It's absurdly low, especially for city driving. Otherwise a wonderful car, but this is a huge flaw."

Anonymous, MA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Front bumper molding design too low to road and easy to damage on curbing, uneven roads. Upholstery off white and easily stained. Did not ask for this color. Interior trim (eg door arm rest trim) easily scratched. Paint comes off. We have had better interiors in previous Subarus we've owned."

WILLIAM S., ME (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Front is too low; it scrapes on parking curbs. Information difficult to see/read on center of dash due to reflections, despite the "hood" that shades it. I like having the rear view image but the guide lines are slow to appear after I put the car in reverse. The hand grip (above the door) is awkward."

Anonymous, PA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"Like the style, color, wish drivers seat was power"

Anonymous, CA (2015 Subaru Impreza)

"My road bicycle can fit inside with ease when the seats are laid flat. No worries about damage or loss as a result. There's still room for more 'stuff' even if the bike is in back"

STANLEY Y., FL (2015 Subaru Impreza)
