I was still able to drive and the monitor behind the steering wheel worked. I called Tesla, they told me to bring it right in. They couldn't reboot it, so they gave me a loner and two days later brought my car back to me with a new touch screen at my office and picked up the loner."

While in the shop they did a diagnostic on the main battery (which was working perfectly fine) and elected to replace that too. It was showing some issues the service team didn't like so they replaced it free of charge! Awesome service!"

In order to fix it i had to leave the car for 5 days at the dealership for a part to be delivered and to replace the steering wheel electronics control mechanism"

"When the screen froze up, the firmware needed to be rebooted by a tesla technician. He reported that the computer and screen will need to be replaced eventually costing about $2500."
