Toyota Camry Solara

2004-2009
2004 Redesign Year
Toyota Camry Solara 2008 Trim Shown: 2008 Convertible
Available in coupe and convertible versions, the Camry Solara is a sportier, two-door version of the Camry sedan. While the ride is comfortable and well controlled, it's noticeably tauter than that of the four-door. Handling is also more nimble, though it falls short of feeling sporty. Over the years, engine choices included adequate four-cylinders and a smooth, strong V6s. The Solara's cabin is well-appointed and serenely quiet, and the front seats are comfortable and supportive. The rear seat is suitable for two average-sized adults. Our tested convertible suffered from some body shake, but the top is well insulated. Rearward visibility, however, was horrible.

The Solara's handling is also more nimble, though it falls short of sports-car territory. Engine choices include a 2.2-liter four-cylinder and a smooth, strong 3.0-liter V6. The Solara's cabin is well appointed and serenely quiet, and the front seats are comfortable and supportive. The rear seat suitable for two average-sized adults.
