What Owners Say

"I selected that because what is most important are the safety features, and they didn't seem to go anywhere else. As long as the driver doesn't become complaisant, lane change assists and backup cameras are very important driving aids."

Anonymous, CA (2017 Toyota Camry)

"I am quite impressed about its ability to accelerate although my son who drives min vans complained). Handling is fantastic."

Avi V., PA (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Steering is excellent as it is not loose and only slight turn is needed to get required response. I have not noticed any under or over steer so far. While cruising on interstate it allows for very stable driving and car does not react negatively to road imperfections which Indiana interstates have many though they are starting to do repairs. I have the SE model which has a heavy duty suspension and bars to help with handling though I can feel all imperfections in the road as this type of suspension does not absorb the bumps which I prefer as I want to feel what the car in essence experiences."

Larry H., IN (2017 Toyota Camry)

David H., TN (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Car very quiet; excellent acceleration, easy to drive."

Sally M., TX (2017 Toyota Camry)

"quiet, smooth ride and handling"

Sheila S., PA (2017 Toyota Camry)

"One of the good features concerns the stop and go traffic that I have to drive in every day. Because my 2017 Toyota Camry has a conventional automatic transmission (rather than the dual clutch auto transmission in the 2018 Camry) it moves forward smoothly when you take your foot off the brake. I deliberately avoided buying the 2018 model because I did not want the dual clutch transmission that is not well suited for stop and go driving. Acceleration with the base engine is OK for me. I usually drive alone, so I do not have experience driving the car with many passengers and cargo."

Kevin C., MD (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Exceptional acceleration - sports car like feel."

What Owners Say

"There is no memory for the seat position and side view mirrors. When I park in a public garage and the valet adjusts the positions, I find myself having to correct the adjustments while I am driving and usually this is at night."

Gerald G., NJ (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Excellent set comfort for back; years ago I was used to Lexus quietness--the Camry comes close to that."

"Back seats are very uncomfortable"

M L., NY (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Good ride and quiet ride. But in some areas not as good as 2010 xle we had"

Anonymous, MA (2017 Toyota Camry)

"The headrests are unbearably uncomfortable. They push my head forward at an unnatural angle, and come to a point such that only a small portion of the headrest makes direct contact with my head. I have to flip the headrest backwards, otherwise I am uncomfortable to the point of distraction."

Anonymous, CT (2017 Toyota Camry)

"This is my second Camry. I'm very happy with the seating comfort and ride. In some road conditions the noise can be a bit more than expected, but overall noise level is good. While I don't sit in the back seat (eg. I'm driving) passengers have indicated they have adequate leg room."

Leonard N., IL (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Reaching for the seat belt is a little awkward, not easy."

Anonymous, GA (2017 Toyota Camry)

"The ride is very comfortable. The seats have multiple adjustments for comfort including very good lumbar support. The cabin is a very quiet except when passing trucks on the freeway. I am very impressed with the ride, low noise and comfort"

"lacking proper seat depth"

Earl L., OH (2017 Toyota Camry)

"can feel the heater in heated seat ( bottom )"

Anonymous, NY (2017 Toyota Camry)

"One of the very few criticisms I have of the car is that the driver's seat cushion (and I assume the other seat cushions) is too firm and uncomfortable. I am looking for an extra cushion I can use that will not harm the fabric on the existing seat. Regarding the ride, I find it pretty good, but a little too firm. Regarding noise levels, it is better than most cars in the same class, but it is a little too noisy when riding on rough pavement."

Kevin C., MD (2017 Toyota Camry)

"All around comfort"

Anonymous, NH (2017 Toyota Camry)

"This is the most comfortable car I have owned since I got rid of my Avalon. The drivers seat is very flexible."

Gloria M., MO (2017 Toyota Camry)

"The seats are comfortable and adequate space inside the car. However, the noise level from outside in could be greatly improved. For such a fine, quality reliable car you would think Toyota could make it have a quieter ride inside."

Jack K., FL (2017 Toyota Camry)

"The driver's seat has many adjustments including a great lumbar support that makes my back feel great while driving. The controls and overall ergonomics of the interior are well thought out; you don't have to fumble to turn something on or off. GREAT air conditioning, cools the car FAST, even on 100+ days."

Stephen G., TX (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Awkward to get in and out of car. Seat can not be adjusted to proper driving position due to low max seat height and headroom."

"Glove box has slight rattle on rough roads."

Anonymous, WI (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Have been VERY disappointed with ride. Rough and jolting. Feared shocks were defective. Many jolts at even small irregularities in street or road. My passengers acknowledge this also. Asked dealer to check shocks for this reason. Response: "This is an LX. That's par for it. You should have bought an EX or (something better). Didn't you test drive it?" -Yes, I did, but obviously not enough. My 19 yr old Accord had a more comfortable ride...honestly. So disappointed in Camry. The dealers seem to be in denial when there is an issue. Previously, after a December rain, I found water on floor at each door and in the TRUNK of the car before it was 6 mos old. The dealer (service dept) told me that was impossible because they had never seen that ever. Denial again. It did happen and one door before that. I dislike dealing with Camry dealers. Have been to two now, each time for 5,000 mile service. Have always kept a car for a minimum of 15 yrs, max 19. Can't see putting up with this for anywhere near that long. Seems like Toyota is putting all its resources into electronic gadgetry and skimping on the basics...like a comfortable ride. Is it that difficult to deliver a comfortable ride? Toyota, color me GONE."

Martha L., TN (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Their is a slight noise coming from the area in front of the steering column that has an outlet to charge the cell phone, etc."

For twisty roads or for the genuine driving enthusiast the XSE is a bit more fun, for everyday life and for highways the XLE is more comfortable."

If any snow/water on the top of trunk, it falls inside the trunk when you open. "Best sedan I have ever owned. Great interior and exterior, good acceleration for hybrid."

Anonymous, IN (2017 Toyota Camry)

"The gas mileage isn’t as good as my 2000 camera. Also the front grill is bad. It is low to the road and therefore breaks easily when debree ounces upward. Very expensive to replace and hard to maintain."

Sue T., CA (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Low price w lots of features included"

Anonymous, MD (2017 Toyota Camry)

"My wife has had 4 Toyota Camry's in the past 12 years. We have bought 2 of them at lease end. One for me to replace an SUV that had engine problems, the other for my son-in-law who was looking for a good used car. We will continue to Lease/Purchase Toyota Products. Mainly because of the reliability and value."

Steven S., NJ (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Great deal, great value, 4 cylinder as effective as 6 for value, may have liked to get price on hybrid down to consider its engine. Back up camera and voice control phone very nice to make and rec3ive calls and texts"

Anonymous, WA (2017 Toyota Camry)

"I paid a few thousand more for an XLE to get blind spot warning and back-up warning. But I have to turn too far right to see the blind spot blinker readily in heavy traffic. It should be on the mirror closer to the car, not further. The XLE rides noticeably harder than the less expensive 2012 I traded in--or previous LEs for that matter. But I like that the leather seat gives more support on long trips."

Norman L., IL (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Got a lot of car for the price. Expected to pay more. Hybrid is slightly more expensive than standard car. Easy decision to go hybrid."

Len R., BC (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Zero finance and reliability selling points. Car is stylish SXT and big enough for 5 passengers. Good gas mileage on road trips. 33 mpg"

Michael R., MD (2017 Toyota Camry)

"This is my husband's car. It is a basic model that drives like a luxury car. We got the side trim molding - which dresses up the car. This LE although Least Expensive has more than satisfied our need for a second car."

Cynthia-Henry G., NJ (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Paid for add-on for warranty and finish that I do not think was worth the$"

Cliff R., OH (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Match the lowest price"

Anonymous, FL (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Very disappointed in the value. I consider a comfortable ride free of jolts and jarring roughness to be a basic priority in a model like the Camry. I am not willing to trade off comfort for whatever electronics they put their money in. They are strictly non-essentials, frills to market the car."

Martha L., TN (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Priced fairly and have great resell value if cared for"

Ronald S., AL (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Big discount on the end of the year sale before 2018 is out."

"Very reliable for a low price"

Mark H., TN (2017 Toyota Camry)

"We got the 2017 Camry for less money than what we spent for our 2003 Camry. In both cases we got the XLE trim, but the 2003 was a v6 and the 2017 was a v4. We got all of the advanced safety equipment on the 2017 and since the 2018 was coming out soon, we got a fabulous deal on a car equipped the way we wanted with only one feature we didn't want - remote start."

Eve S., CA (2017 Toyota Camry)

"I thought I got a good value for this vehicle. I don't like haggling over prices, and thought the price offered was a fair one. Could I have saved more? Maybe. But the salespersons approach was low key and he didn't try to sell us a lot of upgrades. We got a basic car that I think provides good value and is a reliable performer."

Anonymous, IL (2017 Toyota Camry)

"In order to get all safety features, I was forced to purchase high end XLE model. I overpaid for the vehicle but enjoy the electronic safety features."

Anonymous, NY (2017 Toyota Camry)

"Value, Roomy interior, gas mileage"

David R., SC (2017 Toyota Camry)

"All around best automotive product. Great value for price. Doggedly reliable. Solid performer with quiet interior ambiance and effortless handling characteristics. Great dealer support service. Very comfortable seats. Quiet engine. Difficult to align with parking lot border lines due to non horizontal window line ( upward slant, too high window belt line)Front and rear lines equally difficult to to judge."
