What Owners Say

12V battery

""Problem was with the starting battery, not the hybrid one. When my SUV was not used for about 3+ days, it was dead when i went to go somewhere. A big problem!! Had to get boosts sev. times. Took it to the dealership and they said they were not aware of the issue, but nothing else was wrong. Later , they did discover a lady in ontario had same problem. Apparently the cranking amps are only about 200 and the electronics, when it sits, drains the battery. So my partner put a 'trickle charger' on my battery, which i plugged in when i was not using my vehicle. No more problems. Very annoying!!""

Anonymous A., AB (2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid Unsure 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

""Shortly after purchase, 1.5 wk non-use in garage, wouldn't start - needed Toyota service jump. Check at Toyota dealership resulted in 12V battery replacement.""

What Owners Say

Other/unsure

""Jerky cruise control. Unresolved by dealer. Also, not happy about no full size spare tire. Bought one myself for roadtrips""

Anonymous A., CA (2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid XSE 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"I recently had a problem with the tires. I took the Corolla Cross in for it's scheduled maintenance. I noticed on the Multi-Point Inspection that the tires were in the mid-range of wear (yellow color dot). I was surprised at this as it only has 17K miles of use. Apparently the dealership where I bought the vehicle does not have a manufacturers warranty on those tires. I was also told that I should look into "upgrading" (their words) my tires as they seemed to have a defect. My husband and I were shocked as we have never experienced this kind of result from tire purchases beforehand. Admittedly, we have not purchased a car for 23 years, so things may be different now. Although we have bought tires (Michelin @ Costco) over the years."

Anonymous, CA (2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid Unsure 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Hatchback auto lift stopped working properly after routine maintenance. Also the emergency brake system chip had to be replaced after my battery died and roadside assistance jumped the car."

Anonymous, (2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid XSE 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
