    Toyota Corolla Hybrid

    Latest Model

    2020 Model Redesign Year
The Corolla hybrid version gets an impressive 48 mpg overall, but acceleration is best described as leisurely. The continuously variable transmission amplifies engine noise when more power is called for, such as when merging or climbing a hill. Priced considerably lower than the Prius, its only competitor is the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid. The controls are easy to use. The 2023 freshening brought more trim levels to choose from, and also includes Toyota's latest infotainment system. The Corolla's handling agility is among the better in the class, as is ride comfort and cabin quietness.
AEB with pedestrian detection and AEB highway are standard. BSW and RCTW are optional.

    2020-Present

    2020 Model Redesign Year
Redesigned for 2020, the Corolla Hybrid is fuel-efficient, but the current styling, with its lower stance and curvier body, has compromised the rear-seat room and made it harder to get in and out. The hybrid version gets an impressive 48 mpg overall. The hybrid system provides leisurely acceleration, and the continuously variable transmission amplifies engine noise. Toyota improved the Corolla's handling agility without sacrificing ride quality. The controls are easy to use, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility is standard. FCW and AEB are standard.
BSW and RCTW are available. For the 2023 freshening, all-wheel drive is available with the hybrid version and there are more trim levels to choose from. It also gets Toyota's latest infotainment system.
