Anonymous, AZ (2009 Toyota Corolla LE 1.8-L 4 Cyl)"From what I can put together Toyota had a problem with some primer. The primer didn't adhered properly and allows the paint to peel, down to the metal. The problem started as chalky looking paint in the fall of 2018 and the paint and primer soon started peeling from the roof of the car. Now the trunk and hood have started looking chalky. Toyota does not recognized this as a problem, out of warranty mostly, but they also don't acknowledge the problem exists. The issue is unresolved, it's hard to spend this amount of money, mostly for cosmetics, on a car that's supposed to be an economy model."
