The Land Cruiser is quick, plush, and refined. It has a composed, comfortable ride and quiet cabin. The Cruiser is a capable off-roader, but it's fuel thirsty and lacks agility. The third-row is cramped, especially given the SUV's rather large size. Many alternatives perform just as well for much less.
The Land Cruiser receives a number of interior and exterior styling updates for 2016 as well as a new eight-speed automatic transmission. Blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision and lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard. Electronic connectivity is also updated, adding Siri Eyes Free with Toyota's Entune touch-screen audio system standard.
