Anonymous, NY (2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Hybrid Limited 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Other in-car electronics problem

"The screen is more of a distraction while driving. Connecting my phone via bluetooth is more of a hazard because it encourages texting, calling, and controlling music. Oddly, instead of the in-car screen simplifying the phone to make it less distracting, I still find myself using my phone because the texting, calling, and audio controls are so limited on the in-car screen. So tge actual effect is now I'm using TWO screens. I wonder if it'd be safer to just nix the screen..."

Anonymous, CA (2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Speakers

"Speakers do not perform as advertised. Purchase the JBL high-end package and the range and sound output of speakers is terrible. Its a known issue and has been this way from the beginning, but the dealer has not taken the issue seriously."

The problem was the electronic board of the ABS system. It cost me 6600 CAD for repairing it. I've contacted Toyota Canada but their only response was that their engagement is to respect the warranty (3 years / 60000 km). Even if I appreciate this car, I'll never buy a Toyota again""

    12V battery

"Keyless entry and warning systems to avoid locking keys in car or with headlights on has always been a problem. Dealer has not been able to solve problems. The problems occur randomly so do not see problems all the time. People mention it as being a signal problem. Keyless entry also works randomly which is a security issue when I want to get in to car, as in a dark parking lot. Battery goes out without warning. You can be anywhere and it just goes out. Very dangerous if you are in a sketchy area. There should be a meter or warning system you could check to know when to replace. Serious problem!"
