Driving Experience

What Owners Say
"The best mountain and winter vehicle I've ever had. With snow tires I've driven through 2 feet of snow to get into an unplowed trailhead parking area. Gets to summer trail heads on terrible back roads. With snow tires and prudent driving you can feel safe driving long distances on ski trips."
Anonymous, WA (2004 Toyota Sequoia)"The best snow and mountain car I've ever had. In the winter I use real snow tires so that's part of it's ability in snow. Have drive through 3' drifts like they weren't there. Handles nasty mountain roads getting to trailheads. Very safe. I T-boned a van that turned in front of me (his fault) at 25 mph. Destroyed his van and the air bags didn't even inflate. Just body damage, no mechanical."
Anonymous, WA (2004 Toyota Sequoia)"Good acceleration. Typical driving experience for a high profile vehicle. Good ride."
Anonymous, OH (2004 Toyota Sequoia)"It goes from 0-60 extremely fast"
Zachary P., CA (2004 Toyota Sequoia)"Strong engine ands sounds strong when accelerating. Great towing capacity. Handles towing a bassboat and a truck full of gear with no problem. It is comfortable on long & short trips."
Anonymous, IL (2004 Toyota Sequoia)"good for essentially being a large truck"
Steve H., NC (2004 Toyota Sequoia)"Good mid-range torque. Drives like a smaller vehicle. Handling is surprisingly responsive on curvy mountain roads."
Karen M., CO (2004 Toyota Sequoia)"Lags on acceleration and gear changes seem slow. With rear wheel drive, the traction and handling sucks in rain and or snow. We bought this while we lived on the west coast abc dealt with the rain problems, but this truck cannot handle even the least bit of snow in our "new" state (we've been here 10 years now). When the weather sucks, my husband takes the Subaru to work but then I'm rather stranded because I won't drive the Sequoia in the show anymore .."
Anonymous, CO (2004 Toyota Sequoia)"Vehicle acceleration is very good for a large SUV and the handling is great."
Anonymous, TX (2004 Toyota Sequoia)"We test drived 6 SUV and found this to handle the best on long distance travel and during inclimate wheater conditions. Its the most functional and versatile vehicle. I just hand the hood and roof painted and sealed. STill have the orignial transmission and no problem. Had to replace rear latch and handle several times. The rear window is not functional since the motor has been replaced. Latch windows are problem."
Richard L., FL (2004 Toyota Sequoia)"Everything - still incredible acceleration, and handling."
JANYCE S., AL (2004 Toyota Sequoia)"Acceleration is decent from a standstill but passing another car at speed is amazing."
KAREN M., CO (2004 Toyota Sequoia)
"The handling is good on and off road. I have been amazed at how well this big car handles narrow mountain dirt roads. I can always accelerate quickly and powerfully to pass as needed, never a hesitation in the motor. It does require fairly frequent alignment and rear door handle replacement."
