This 2006-2010 iteration of the Jetta is larger and more expensive than its predecessor. While it also approached the family-sedan category in both price and interior room, high-quality interior appointments were still a strong suit. Power and handling were improved, but the ride is a bit stiffer.

"included in the radio and had to be replaced"

Terence B., PA (2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI 2.0-L 4 Cyl diesel)

"The entire in dash system went out & VW could not fix it. It was replaced with an aftermarket system at ¿ the price of what VW wanted to charge for lesser product"

Anonymous, UT (2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI 2.0-L 4 Cyl diesel)

"CD player stopped working. Too expensive to replace."

Brian F., WA (2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI 2.0-L 4 Cyl diesel)

"Parked the car at night, radio was working. Started the car up the next morning, and it was completely dead. VW would have charged my hundreds to diagnose, and then I'd have to replace with factory radio. Instead, I replaced with a Pioneer AVIC-600"

Aila L., NJ (2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI 2.0-L 4 Cyl diesel)

"Stopped working. had to have entire radio replaced"

Samantha K., CT (2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI 2.0-L 4 Cyl diesel)

"The radio just stopped one day when we had about 85000 kms on it. All the fuses were checked and were okay. At the dealership they said it was the radio itself. Really in all the cars I have had the radio is the one thing that never quits"

Anonymous, ON (2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI 2.0-L 4 Cyl diesel)

"My stereo system went out and had to be replaced. This included the Bluetooth and CD changer. This replacement was over a $ 600.00 item. As long as I have been driving, this is the first time a radio system has needed to be replaced"

Jason K., IL (2010 Volkswagen Jetta SE 2.5-L 5 Cyl)

Anonymous, CA (2010 Volkswagen Jetta SE 2.5-L 5 Cyl)

"It died, ceased to work, would not come on. Based on online search, it apparently is a common problem with Jettas, and VW will not fixed, it costs $2500 to replace the unit."

Anonymous, CA (2010 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg Edition 2.0-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"The radio and CD player quit working completely . It won't turn at all. The unit is receiving power. According to numerous reports on you tube, this is a common occurance with VW stereo units. I am not about to spend an enormous amount of money to put another VW unit in. I will go with an after market unit. I agree with many other people who have said this unit is a piece of junk."

If there is a brake fluid leak, it can reduce braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.
    Summary:
Tenneco Automotive (Tenneco) is recalling certain Beck/Arnley Master Cylinders, part number 072-9831, sold as aftermarket or replacement parts for 2004-2018 Volkswagen Jetta, and 2012-2019 Volkswagen Beetle vehicles. The fluid seal crimp on the master cylinder may be insufficient, causing brake fluid to leak or the cylinder to come apart.
    What should you do:
