"The car had been "using oil" for months (up to a quart every 1000 miles). After several conversations with Volvo, they agreed to replace the engine due to a know issue with cylinder head."

Took it back in for service, and they said they would have to rebuild the engine. After 3 weeks, I was contacted again, and they told me that Volvo would not be rebuilding the engine but they were replacing it even though I was out of warranty by 300 or so miles. Once it was completed I had no more strange whine or popping sound in my car."

"The blis system has been intermittent. Dealer has replaced the cameras, computers, and reprogrammed the system. None of these have been trivial in terms of time. He does have a backup vehicle for our use when servicing the car. When the car was new the BLis performed flawlessly for 6500 km then became eratic. It seems better now but we can no longer trust it. At my age, 81 I need all the help I can get to stay out of trouble"
