We mostly only make coffee on the weekends and when we have company. Purchased two. First one stopped working but we had electrical problems in the kitchen, so I didn't blame the machine thinking that it may have been damaged by surges. We now live in a different home with no electrical issues. I purchased the same machine again. It worked great until it just stopped working. Unfortunately, that was during a holiday party. Again, it seemed to be electrical issues...some lights and the clock would come on briefly and then fade out & it wouldn't brew.
How long have you owned it:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Leaks out the back
Easy To Use
I bought this because of the high rating, but should have read the reviews first. The machine leaks a little bit out the hole in the back every time i use it (even when using small amounts of water).
