About This Brand

Hoover introduced its first vacuum in 1907 and has established itself as one of the most recognizable brands in America. More recently, Hoover was bought from Whirlpool by TTI Floor Care, the owners of Dirt Devil. Hoover sells a wide variety of uprights at mass-market retailers, with models ranging from as little as $50 to $300. It also makes hand and stick vacuums, canister models (about $80 to $300), deep cleaners, central vacuums, bare-floor cleaners, and an outdoor sweeper, though the company is best known for its uprights.

Comment:
My previous Vacuum Cleaner was the Hoover Upright/pet
cleaner. Attachments seldom fell off. I just purchased a new one & the attachments constantly fall off along with an Air Filter in front of the vacuum
cleaner. Very disappointed that they do not stay on. It's very hard to vacuum without losing parts all over the place. I would not recommend.

Comment:
Vacuum was purchased for home use. I have used Hoover products for over 30 years and have never been so disappointed as I am with the UH30600. Vac did not last 1 week before the belt and several other internal parts broke . Hoover did replace Vac, the time, effort, expense, and inconvenience of taking Vac to warranty repair shop who stated that the unit is not the quality as it once was and the quality of the design of this product is inferior. As a result of the problems I am returning the unit and will purchase another brand. I cannot believe that consumers recommended this model.

Comment:
I bought this based on consumer reports. When you vacuum it leaves lines on the carpet that look like rake marks. They look terrible. It also doesn't have an edge cleaner built in. I just assumed this would be standard. The attachments are flimsy and fall off. I am going to spend more money and get a better vacuum.
