Performance: Overall this desktop's performance was good, below that of many other models but still powerful enough for tasks such as email, word processing, web browsing, streaming movies and even some gaming. Compared to other tested desktops, its speed was adequate for common tasks such as web browsing, video conferencing, and application startup. Speed was adequate when composing documents, working on data spreadsheets, and other productivity tasks, and its speed was adequate for manipulating filters on images, converting and editing videos, and rendering models and calculating simulations.
Ergonomics: The desktop, with its included keyboard and mouse, was well-designed, and was comfortable and convenient to use. Keyboard letters were high contrast and easy to read, and its keys were comfortably sized. The mouse has a low-profile design, and has a scroll wheel. You can't easily replace the hard drive. The power button is not in a convenient location, and is either hard to access, or easy to press accidentally.
Display: The display quality was Very Good overall. Colors were accurately reproduced, realistic, and natural looking. The desktop's display was prone to glare, making it somewhat difficult to see in a brightly lit room. The display has a wide viewing angle, especially important if more than one person needs to see the screen at a time, say, for a video or presentation.
Useful features and attributes on this model include: The spacious 1TB of hard drive space offers plenty of room for storing your music, photos, and movies. The display is a touchscreen that allows a convenient way to interact and navigate using the screen. You can connect common external devices such as hard drives and Blu-ray burners using USB 3.1 Gen 1 for maximum performance. Gigabit Ethernet provides fast transfer of data over a local network. Video outputs include: an HDMI full-size port; these are useful for connecting to an HDTV or separate monitor.
Downsides: There is no memory-card reader, so you'll need to buy an external reader or connect your digital camera directly to this desktop to transfer photos. This desktop has fewer USB ports than others. There's no optical drive like a CD or DVD reader, so you'll have to buy an external drive if you need one.
