Performance: Overall this desktop's performance was good, below that of many other models but still powerful enough for tasks such as email, word processing, web browsing, and streaming movies. Compared to other tested desktops, it was fast for common tasks such as web browsing and video conferencing. Applications start up quickly. Performance was okay but on the slow side when composing documents, working on data spreadsheets, and running other productivity tasks, and its speed was adequate for manipulating filters on images, converting and editing videos, and rendering models and calculating simulations.
Ergonomics: This desktop is bundled with a keyboard, however it lacks a mouse. The keyboard is wireless, adding to convenience when placing it. Keyboard letters were low contrast and difficult to read, but its keys were comfortably sized. Keyboard features such as media playback and volume control keys add convenience. There's no dedicated number pad on the keyboard. You can't easily replace the storage drive. The power button is in a convenient location that is unlikely to be pressed accidentally. The case has no LED indicator for storage drive activity. This portable all-in-one has a built-in easy transport handle, kickstand feet that auto-deploy, and a keyboard-carrying pocket. The rechargeable battery lasted almost 4 hours in our video playback tests, and about 4.5 hours in web browsing tests. Instead of including a separate mouse, it has a touchpad built into the keyboard. The vertical tilt on the display (angling up or down) is very limited.
Display: The display quality was very good overall. Colors were near-accurate and mostly realistic and natural looking. The display has a wide viewing angle, especially important if more than one person needs to see the screen at a time, say, for a video or presentation.
Useful features and attributes on this model include: The display is a touchscreen that allows a convenient way to interact and navigate using the screen. You can connect common external devices such as backup drives and Blu-ray burners using USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps). Video outputs include: an HDMI full-size port supporting HDMI 1.4, and supporting DisplayPort over USB-C; these are useful for connecting to an TV or separate monitor.
Downsides: There is no memory-card reader, so you'll need to buy an external reader or connect your digital camera directly to this desktop to transfer photos. This desktop has fewer USB ports than others. There's no optical drive like a CD or DVD reader, so you'll have to buy an external drive if you need one.
