Performance: Overall this desktop's performance was excellent. Compared to other tested desktops, it was among the fastest with common tasks such as web browsing and video conferencing. Applications start up almost instantly. It was among the fastest when composing multiple documents with images, calculating large complex data spreadsheets, and running other demanding productivity tasks, and its speed was adequate for manipulating filters on images, converting and editing videos, and rendering models and calculating simulations.
Ergonomics: The desktop is bundled with a keyboard and mouse. It had well-designed features that made it comfortable or convenient to use. The keyboard is wireless, adding to convenience when placing it but the mouse is corded. Keyboard letters were high contrast and easy to read, and its keys were comfortably sized. Keyboard features such as media playback and volume control keys add convenience. The corded mouse has a scroll wheel. The storage drive can be easily replaced. The power button is in a convenient location that is unlikely to be pressed accidentally.
Useful features and attributes on this model include: You can connect common external devices such as hard drives and Blu-ray burners using USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gbps). Gigabit ethernet provides fast transfer of data over a local network. Video outputs include: an HDMI full-size port, VGA; these are useful for connecting to an HDTV or separate monitor.
Downsides: There's no optical drive like a CD or DVD reader, so you'll have to buy an external drive if you need one.
