    Detailed Test Results

Performance: Overall this desktop's performance was only fair, well below that of many models but still good enough for routine tasks like email, word processing and web browsing. Compared to other tested desktops, performance was okay but on the slow side for common tasks such as web browsing or video conferencing. You would notice this most when opening up applications. Performance was okay for light productivity but for some more demanding tasks may be very slow, particularly when calculating large data spreadsheets or using images in multiple documents, and it was so slow that it was difficult to manipulate images, edit videos, and calculate simulations.

Ergonomics: The desktop, with its included keyboard and mouse, had well-designed features that made it comfortable or convenient to use. Keyboard letters were high contrast and easy to read, and its keys were comfortably sized. Keyboard features such as media playback and volume control keys add convenience. The keys on the keyboard are slightly concave, making it more comfortable to type on. The mouse has a low-profile design, and has a scroll wheel. You can't easily replace the hard drive. The power button is not in a convenient location, and is either hard to access, or easy to press accidentally.

Display: The display quality was Very Good overall. Colors were near-accurate and mostly realistic and natural looking. The desktop's display was anti-reflective, so there was little or no glare when viewing in a brightly lit room. The display has a wide viewing angle, especially important if more than one person needs to see the screen at a time, say, for a video or presentation.

Useful features and attributes on this model include: The spacious 0TB of hard drive space offers plenty of room for storing your music, photos, and movies. Has a fast 7200RPM speed on the secondary hard drive, where files can be saved. You can connect common external devices such as hard drives and Blu-ray burners using USB 3.0 for maximum performance. Gigabit Ethernet provides fast transfer of data over a local network. Video outputs include: an HDMI full-size port; these are useful for connecting to an HDTV or separate monitor.

Downsides: There's no optical drive like a CD or DVD reader, so you'll have to buy an external drive if you need one. The primary drive only has YGB of storage, which can quickly run out of room. There is an SD card reader for adding extra space and an additional 500GB hard drive for saving files, but you may need to delete unused files in order to install large system updates.
