Performance: Overall this desktop's performance was only fair, well below that of many models but still good enough for routine tasks like email, word processing and web browsing. Compared to other tested desktops, performance was okay but on the slow side for common tasks such as web browsing or video conferencing. You would notice this most when opening up applications. Performance was okay but on the slow side when composing documents, working on data spreadsheets, and running other productivity tasks, and it was so slow that it was difficult to manipulate images, edit videos, and calculate simulations.
Ergonomics: The desktop is bundled with a keyboard and mouse. Keyboard letters were high contrast and easy to read, and its keys were comfortably sized. Keyboard features such as media playback and volume control keys add convenience. The corded mouse has a scroll wheel. You can't easily replace the storage drive. The power button is not in a convenient location, and is either hard to access, or easy to press accidentally.
Display: The display quality was Excellent overall. Colors were accurately reproduced, realistic, and natural looking. The desktop's display was anti-reflective, so there was little or no glare when viewing in a brightly lit room. The display has a wide viewing angle, especially important if more than one person needs to see the screen at a time, say, for a video or presentation. Its display has better contrast than on most other tested all-in-ones.
Useful features and attributes on this model include: You can connect common external devices such as hard drives and Blu-ray burners using USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps). Gigabit ethernet provides fast transfer of data over a local network. Video outputs include: an HDMI full-size port; these are useful for connecting to an HDTV or separate monitor.
Downsides: There is no memory-card reader, so you'll need to buy an external reader or connect your digital camera directly to this desktop to transfer photos. This desktop has fewer USB ports than others. There's no optical drive like a CD or DVD reader, so you'll have to buy an external drive if you need one.
